You're welcome.

Based on your previous subliminal message post regarding BYU and Boise St, does this mean that TILPACTY will be invited as well?

Our story takes place in an airport, Because that is the setting of the storY. With the fracking for nat gas plus the oil shale extraction taking place, the U.s. will become (if it hasn't already) a net exporter of hydrocarBons. The extraction of fossil fuels may result in an increase in jet fuel that cOuld result in downward pressure on airlIne costs. However, this aSpect of the market will be dependent upon refining capacity. So...even with an Increase in the hydrocarbon supply, we will likely not see an uptick in refined fuel for some time. So, are 2 of these schools in the Est? Hard to say...

No way does the PAC invite BYU and BOISE

Don't worry, this is a lock. It will be fun to see everyone's reaction when it happens.

Can you confirm two things:

1) American or Canadian Thanksgiving
2) What year?

Only two options:

Oklahoma/Oklahoma State

Or

Colorado State/Houston

RE: Latest info from my sources
The B12 would not accept BYU due to inflexibility including a controversial honor code. The B12 is largely in very conservative areas. The PAC 12 is even less willing to consider such.

Boise State would not currently meet PAC12 academic research standards among a few other factors.

PAC12 rejected OU-oSu overtures several years ago. That was a mistake. Some in the PAC12 may be regretting that, and are open to re-consideration.

Other than Texas, which would require huge deal-making and mind-changing, Texas Tech would be a come along. TTU has geographical positives worth noting.

Thanksgiving? It is too soon and the wrong time of year. It is not springtime in a future year such as 2022 or 2023.

The idea Miko proposes is ridiculous, but it's an interesting hypothetical to discuss; i.e., if the Pac were to add two schools now, who would they be?

this thread has provided me with some keen insights into the possible future moves or non moves of perhaps one conference...if not more (or perhaps less). It will be interesting to see what happens or perhaps does not happen!

Well, at least we know that BYU and Boise St. would actually accept the PAC invite.

Sure, in a heartbeat. But the Pac doesn't want either one. If they're going to expand, it's almost certainly UT or bust. And that won't happen for a few years at least.

The two schools that the PAC 12 saw positive upward movement happened to be Boise State and San Diego State. They were the other 2 candidate backup plan to expand with alongside of Utah and Colorado if the 4 Texhoma schools refuse to go. As it is, the four Texhoma schools are not looking westward, they are looking eastward movement.

Hawaii right now have financial issues.
New Mexico like someone pointed out, is not a big market.
Colorado State is in the same market as Colorado which adds no value.
UNLV have been a dumpster fire for awhile.
BYU has issues that they need to give up not playing on Sundays.

San Diego State does bring in a new market since they are not being effected by an NFL team.
Boise State even small market, have garnered a countrywide following that gets viewers for their football games larger than their state's population. They do bring some value, and it could help bring some nationwide tv viewership.

UTEP, West Texas A&M, SMU, Rice all have flaws.
Not sure they want to add a private school like TCU.

Houston and UTSA could also bring a tv market for the PAC 12. UTSA is on the rise, and could be competitive in the PAC 12 when they almost upset the Arizona schools.

That's a great guess.

I was thinking New Mexico and BYU. -Or Colorado State and BYU.

I like the idea of Houston and SMU. You get time zones, recruiting grounds, and Texas.

The PAC isn't expanding, but Miko got half of the equation right. Just the half that doesn't really matter.

Since you made these comments right after my comment, perhaps I missed the joke, such as it may be. It would be humor worthy if it was unique per nonsense posted throughout. It isn't.
