Better than some chode Florida fan over here in a thread that has nothing to do with you. What's the matter, get embarrassed on the SEC and P5 boards?

SEC has no real presence here. I'm a UCF fan too, but you knew that already 04-cheers

True... honestly, when you guys joined the MAC in 2002 and I watched the games... and watched you struggle... I told people how fast Florida was growing.. especially the smaller Florida (at the time) schools.. I lived there for over a year...

I had said it will be very tough to keep up with them as far as budget and resources... they laughed at me.... but... unfortunately... I got the last, but bitter laugh..

Problem is that they will never be able to break the glass ceiling if they keep losing their coaches. It's like the goal post keeps getting moved.

That's the problem all of us have.. few have a chance.. and the vast majority doesn't... but you have to admit, while a brilliant campaign with the P6 thing...if they were going to extend invites, the big 12 would have.. which leads me to believe that they're shooting for 4 sixteen team conferences plus Notre dame.. that accommodates everyone...

Just think..what's UCFs budget? I don't know, but I'd guess in the 50MM range... WVU.a mid tier Big 12 school, is close to 100MM

Actually UCF is closer to $60 million dollars. It is the 53rd highest budget. Beats out quite a bit of schools with big media deals. Not too shabby. To put it in perspective, the biggest budget in the CUSA is ODU at $44 million dollars (#64). Marshall is at $30 million dollars.

UCF's budget is now $63M. WVU's is $85M. The difference is essentially the TV check they're cut by merely being part of a conference with Texas and Oklahoma.

That is the case for a huge number of ACC/Big 10/Big 12 schools.

For comparison's sake: Marshall $28M, FAU $28M, UTEP $32M, FIU $27M.

There are many programs spending huge sums of money for absolutely nothing. Like Ole Miss who spends $95M/year to be irrelevant.

UCF is actually over $60 million now.

True... honestly, when you guys joined the MAC in 2002 and I watched the games... and watched you struggle...

Actually, the Big 12 didn't extend an invite because of two reasons. First was that they got approved to have a CCG with just 10 members.

Second, they were able to squeeze a lot more money by using their existing contract to their advantage. There was language in there that forced their media partner to pay an equal share for any new teams that were added, regardless of who they were. Don't know how a network allowed this to be in there, but it was. So they simply put on a dog and pony show to get the network to essentially buy out that clause and get them more money staying put at 10 members.

As far as adding UCF and USF, if there was a real Big 12 network in place, they would have been added in a NY heartbeat.

Now, looking at things in a vacuum, I would say that if the bottom 3/4's of the current P5 were in the AAC last year....... they wouldn't have gotten the call up given the circumstances either.

And then we wind up here with this P6 marketing campaign. This is not about the now. It's about the future. Its about trying to show the separation from the other G5 conferences. Its putting an exclamation point on the fact that they are the 6th best conference in football. It is positioning itself for the 2025 shift. Continue to put exclamation points on all very real differences between the AAC and the other conferences and it changes perception. It will help with the bowls, and who the hell knows what happens in 7 years. AAC may go to the next 7 NY6 bowls in a row and win each one. Kind of hard not to be able to sign a contract under those circumstances. But realistically, more than anything, and I'll bold this part, its about not being left behind if there is a complete break.

The MWC, CUSA, Sunbelt, and MAC have not done a damn thing to try to position themselves better. I am not talking just about on the field performance, but I am talking about basketball too. I am talking about marketing. I know their is not much stuff to market at this time....... but what is the conference doing to really put on a show? Where are the commissioners? What are their plans? What are they actively doing to improve the product? I honestly can't say any of the G4 conferences are doing anything in this regards. I like that individual programs are trying hard. I will use FAU/FIU as an example........ but I see too many other just happy with the status quo.

hey, by the way, that p5 college football establishment that you so desperately want to be loved by just assrammed you in the latest polls. real p5 teams with two losses are clearly considered better than a g5 team with one. there are several of them. there's reality for you.

take the red pill, dude. you can't join it, and it can't be reformed. it can only be destroyed.

There are five power conferences and there will never be a sixth.

Everything else in this thread is nonsense, like your dumb ******* helmet stickers.

You are G5.

So sit back and watch....... seems that is all you are good for. Criticize those who try. Do nothing. Destroying something involves you actually getting off you fat @ss and doing something. That's all the Mwc, cusa, sunbelt, and mac are good for. Lazy @sses that have no vision, no plan.....only criticize those who are trying to make moves. Oh, but you will have you threads making fun of the P6. Seriously, the way you all act, you would rather wear G5 stickers just to spite the AAC. Good luck. I know why you have such crappy commissioners.........you all belong with them. Zero collective effort.

here's the point that you're apparently incapable of understanding. it's much harder to destroy the status quo when one of the more prominent g5 conferences is so obviously on its knees performing fellatio on it. man up, smell the gaddam coffee, and help us. And for gods sake, put your panties back on.

. . . you had to make it ******* personal . . .

You are not "technically" G5.

There are five power conferences and there will never be a sixth.

Everything else in this thread is nonsense, like your dumb ******* helmet stickers.

You are G5.
You mad bro?

Not even slightly, it's hard to be mad at complete delusion.

The "P6" campaign deserves every bit of derision it receives. It's hilarious.

No friend, I'm not.

But incorrect labels are sort of your thing, so if saying I'm "mad" makes you feel better, have at it pal.
