FSU vs Southern Miss? FSU really dodged a bullet there.

Every bowl-eligible team was selected, yes.

With ten teams selected to a bowl this will mostly be the largest payday revenue meaning for the ACC. Hopefully we have a winning record this bowl season for there are some great match ups.

Chalk suggests we go 6-6. Early betting lines:
Clemson +1.5
Louisville -5.5
Miami +6.5
No lines on other games yet, but I think it's a safe bet that FSU will be a heavy favorite - maybe the biggest spread of all the bowl games.

No way the ACC goes 6-6... Only 10 teams (11 if you count Notre Dame).

The CFP championship game could be the 12th game

Duh! Of course you are right. I should have said 5-5.
But chalk doesn't always hold during bowl season. Interesting that the #1 seed in the CFP is a slight underdog, but maybe not that surprising. So far, no #1 seed has won the championship.

RE: ACC bowl pairings.
If I was betting I'd take Louisville to cover -5.5.
-Lamar Jackson insists he will play in the bowl. All bets are off on the line if he changes his mind.
-The starting QB, Head Coach, D coordinator, O-line coach, WR coach and possibly other coaches won't be participating for the Bulldogs.
-MSU's back-up QB (Thompson) is a true frosh who understandably struggled when thrust into action in the Egg Bowl. He'll have a month to prepare as their bowl starter, but he was quite raw throwing the ball. Thompson is the only scholarship QB who will be playing in the bowl game for MSU.
-With the healthy return of NFL level CB Jaire Alexander, the Cardinals defense has improved from horrific to just mediocre. That improvement was enough to close the season with three easy wins due to the high level offense.
-MSU is certainly a step up from UofL's Nov. opponents, but I see the Cards by double digits if they played today. We'll see if any news in December changes my thoughts.

As of this morning, betting lines for ACC(ish) teams are:
Favorites:
Duke -4.5 vs Northern Illinois
FSU -15 vs Southern Miss
Wake -3 vs Texas A&M
NC State -6.5 vs Arizona St
Louisville -6.5 vs Mississippi St
Underdogs:
BC +3 vs Iowa
Va Tech +6.5 vs Oklahoma St
Miami +6.5 vs Wisconsin
Notre Dame +3 vs LSU
Clemson +2 vs Alabama
Virginia vs Navy is pick'em
FSU isn't the biggest favorite. Florida Atlantic is favored by 22 over Akron. Only 7 of the 39 games have a spread greater than a touchdown.

I like the ACC's chances in all of our bowl games. I would look for a better than .500 results.

Quoting my statement above, Jaire Alexander is not going to play in the bowl game before the draft. My prediction is still that Louisville wins, but the margin will be closer now. We'll see if the UofL D can do anything but crater without him in the secondary as they prepare for next season.

Louisville has a nice crop of defensive recruits coming in this class, ranked currently #17 by ESPN, for next season. They won't help with this bowl game but I'm anxious to see how the current defense plays under Sirmon when healthy. Jackson should follow Alexander lead here & not risk an injury before the draft.
