Wichita St plays Houston twice in the next 3 weeks. He'll miss the first game. Doubtful he's 100% by the second meeting.
That sucks. Sprained ankles have a nasty habit of lingering. Hope he makes a quick recovery.
To be honest I was a lot more worried about your guards and 3 point shooting though.
yesterday i would have agreed, but he had 21 points in essential 1 half before getting injured, probably would have had 34+ had he stayed in (note this is the first year for 4/5 of our bigs, i think something might have finally clicked for him)
he said post game it didn't hurt anymore, despite it looking like a watermelon (but these things tend to suck the morning after)...im hoping he is back in time for wichita part 2

That sucks. Sorry to hear that. Injuries suck.
I think you're catching a decent break too with McDuffie still shaking the rust off his injury return.

Yeah. It's good guards that are killing us. Gray is gonna go off. Just hope no one else gets hot right along with him.
I am just glad to see Trae Young still doing to everyone what he did to us. Helps me feel a LITTLE better about that one.
Anyway, this next game has me concerned some because our perimeter D has lacked. McDuffie does help in that but needs to knock some rust off. Being at home might help
I do hope your guy comes back quick. Never like to see players injured.

Some people were saying they didn't see how Brady twisted his ankle. I watched the replay when I got home from the game and was able to make a little gif of his ankle.
It was a pretty bad twist after landing on the Temple player's foot. He told a reporter after the game that it didn't hurt anymore, but it was swollen pretty big.
I think he's out a couple weeks at least. Dangit.

Yeah, even if it doesn't hurt I am sure his lateral movement....etc would be hampered a lot.
Probably at least a couple weeks and probably won't be 100% until after the season. Sprains don't fully heal for a while of no activity. But many players play through some pain once it is manageable

We would like to postpone playing Houston until the Center and all lplayers are healthy and playing.
Actually I don’t like to see anyone get hurt.

RE: 12/30 AAC Basketball Games
Great read! Thx for all the entertainment guys.
I'm so glad that we are not only in a league where the fans care enough about their programs to totally melt down - raging on each other like 4 yr. old children, but said programs have sufficient resources to take corrective action when things head down the wrong path.
Fans cared a lot in the MVC, especially the old-timers who remember when it was the Valley of Death. But there just wasn't enough money for programs to sustain success for any length of time once it was achieved.
So happy to be a part of the American. The Shockers have been trapped for a long time. It feels like Christmas every game day for this Shocker fan.

I expect us to lose 3 or 4 conference games this year including losses at SMU and at Cincy. We went 17-1 in the Valley last year, I fully expect a worse record in the AAC.

Dunphy absolutely has to go after this year. The national narrative of his coaching greatness simply is not true. He's won 2 NCAA Tournament games at Temple. Barring a miracle this will be the 4th time in 5 years Temple has failed to even make the tournament. He's a wonderful guy and great ambassador of the university but his coaching is average at best at this point.
Great coach in the A10. Hasn't quite translated in the American.
The AAC was/is a big step up from what the A10 was. Yes had Xavier- but only was playing them once a year. VCU the year they were in only played them once. Same with Butler. And St Louis.

Houston fans have got their jimmies rustled and need to lash out at other school's fans. Oh and they allegedly don't care about something. So much so, that they felt the need to scream it from on high.
Only thing this COOG fan cares about is scoreboard and conference standings.
Oh, lookie there, we got both of those tonight!
Fantastic. That and 50 cents will get you.....50 cents.

Well dang, how much has UConn's got. Y'all running on credit this year, but that credit line is about to run out, y'all are dragging the conference down so bad this year!
If you say so.

SMU 2-1 against top 25. Loving that.
Maybe we get 4-6 more top 25 games IN CONFERENCE.
That’s how the AAC will get some better seeding.

I'm glad you Houston fans rejoice in the misery of others. Unfortunately for you Coog fans, this UCONN fan is not miserable at all. Not even close.
But hey, if telling yourself that UCONN is dragging down the conference helps you sleep better at night, then have at it.
Hey, I'm just... let's see, how was it put before by you Uconn fans?
"Just pointing out a fact."
But you're right about one thing, having a suck ass year in basketball is no reason to be miserable, after all, it's just a game.
It's a new year, maybe you guys will turn it around.

That's Ollie-ball. And thus the problem.
Just a not so fun fact for U Conn. Trae Young has more assists than the entire team of U Conn (128 to 121). Hope you guys get a new coach next year. Your program and our conference needs you strong.
