Netflix's Knights of Sidonia is pretty good too, as is a movie by the same studio called Blame!

I also highly recommend East of Eden.

Just for Adults:

If you're into more adult level anime I'd recommend Psycho Pass, Blood C, The Saga of Tonya the Evil (verey Steampunk), and Death Note.

Watching Saiki K and liking it..my daughter finds it fun also.

I had to get used to the speed of his 'thoughts' and the first episode of the backstory, but after that, the events and sarcasm towards his classmate is funny.

The wife is really enjoying this anime on Netflix about a compulsive gambler that starts attending a gambling high school. It is borderline TV-MA, but there is no nudity.
