Going to the 9th, Holt is 3-3 with a run scored, while Rendon is 1-4 with a run scored and rbi on a solo shot. Sox lead 4-3.
And Anthony lines out to LF with a runner at 1st to end the game.

Hitters pitch. Closer doesn't want to put tying run in scoring position with a walk. Very high probability that he throws a fastball in the zone on that count. I'd definitely give any quality hitter the green light in that situation...and Ant did hit it on the screws.
