It's a good friendly rivalry, I have a lot of respect for Western. Our family moved to Lexington about 5 years ago. Had no family in town, but we've made friends, have strong church community, our kids go to Maxwell.

We love Lexington! Especially now since that whole gentrification Summit at Fritz Farms was built about a mile away from us. Man, you thought Nicholasville traffic was bad before try entering down here now!

Awesome, similar to me in I knew no one here besides a good friend when I moved here in 2004...My family and I live in Hamburg area so I usually don't venture out much on that side of town just due to all the traffic...

It's nice. Our property values literally skyrotted after they built all that.

I don't want to move, Lexington is a great place to live.

That really isn't a good thing...unless you are moving/selling. It means you are paying a lot more money in OCT.

You mean taxes?

Yes. The city might not have got around to raising them yet but if Lexington is like Owensboro....

they will soon after a few homes sale in the area.

I'm very familiar with Owensboro. It's in my territory. A lot of folks still bitter about the downtown development. Flooding.

But man, that downtown Hampton Inn is the best. Owensboro has an amazing outdoor playground. My family like to stay with me when possible so the kids can play.

I know the city passed that bill on to the residents, but there are higher than normal travel taxes associated too.

We'll see what happens with our property taxes...

Game on Saturday is officially sold out. Unfortunately we may be without a player or two from illness according to the press conference today.

Other than the last game against Marshall, I haven't had any problems with Stadium the last couple years. Usually no technical issues at all. Should be a great game. Marshall will be wanting revenge.

I wonder if that includes the small amount of tickets Marshall returned?

A official sellout will depend on those students showing back up. Which I believe they will. But then you look across the court and see 50 or so Red Towel seats that always are empty. It's probably like that across the other side also.

Don't understand people that spend around $1150 for a seat then never show up

Agreed. I've been harping on about that for the last year or so. At least tell the ticket office that you won't be coming, and they can sell them or give them away for you. On non-sell out games, you can bump up some people who bought regular tickets into those seats so that way there aren't 25% empty seats in the first 5 rows on TV, making it look like an average crowd, even though it could be a sell out.

Heck, the ticket office could be pro-active about it. See what ticket holders haven't been showing up, email them and ask if they plan on coming to the next game so they can sell their seats iff not.

Agree, I’m grateful that people are investing good money for those seats, but if you care enough to spend that much money, please care enough to make sure those seats have someone in them

Now that was some bad reffing. Elmore hets the shoukder dropped on him then gets Td up for complaining about it. Garbage. Then phantom offensive calls, even announcers calling it tough. Never have a chance to play basketball with officials like this. 3 on burks, Peneva and elmore on the edge. Pisses me off.

That was a 6 game swing that should not have happened. Gave them all the momentum. This is gonna be rough if this continues.

Can't do anything when they can beat you with a baseball bat and if you breathe on them its a foul. Bunch of asshat refs. Every good player on our team has 3 fould and wku shot at least 15 or 16 free throws in the FIRST HALF

15 WKU foul shots to Marshall's 3... Not saying it's out of hand yet, but we haven't got to play all night, this should be a good game all the way until the final buzzer.

Fouls are close to being even, been some missed both ways, i agree the refs are somewhat subpar tonight. We get to the line A LOT! So that part don’t surprise me.

Almost every game we get accused of getting the calls. We are one of the least penalized teams in the nation. It has been by design because only had 7 scholarship players. If you watch the game closely I don't think we foul as much as other teams because we play loser when defending. Have you not noticed Marshall keeps getting to the rim. We attack the basket and Marshall comes after us [/b]and commit s the foul.

WKU Hillfloppers04-cheers

I kid I kid, but it sucks that two bad calls changed the game like that. This was looking like it was going to be a last second shot for the win. Good Game WKU, these two teams couldn't have been more evenly matched today.

Sitting there talking to dan across the scorers table and he was laughing at about how bad this officiating is for each team. He even said both sides were getting screwed. Officiating in this league is absolutely terrible.

I wonder if other conferences complain about their refs too? I think we are completely justified because we have a few trash ref crews in this league and it's so justified.

Also congrats WKU on the crowd, it looked and sounded awesome! A few fanbases need to take note from you guys.
