RE: Marshall @ WKU
Was a lot of flopping tonight and questionable calls for sure...After that technical on Hollingsworth he was a possessed man and took over down the stretch with us ending game on 15--0 run.....But yes for those complaining about the fouls differential when playing us at this point that's what we are...We are top 10 in the nation for a reason and is how we play this season....We attack the rim which draws a lot of fouls this season and we dont foul as much just due to limited depth...

I wonder if other conferences complain about their refs too? I think we are completely justified because we have a few trash ref crews in this league and it's so justified.

Also congrats WKU on the crowd, it looked and sounded awesome! A few fanbases need to take note from you guys.

Great game! Thanks for the kind words

Just saw Coach Dan be gracious at the post game presser. Mentioned the CUSA scheduling is easier for some teams as opposed to Western & Marshall. Have to agree

Yeah, but for teams with at-large chances, the tougher schedule is better

We lost quite a few RPI points tonight (6) in a 30-point win

Says enough about Jon's intelligence, would you like to be hit by a freight train? Don't rag to much on Jon you may get to see him one more time, on a neutral floor.

Self preservation wins again. Most people would have done the very same. Elmore is a fine player. His handles are as good as I’ve seen and he makes Tayveon work his butt off on every single possession. He’s very good at attacking the rim. Very good at initiating contact and then using an endless supply of flops to get a foul called. I’d rather we don’t see him again. I’d also imagine he’d rather not see Tayveon again.

I’d also rather not see Burkes again. He and Elmore are hella combo to deal with.

Not raggin at all. If you don’t think that’s funny, tell me what is? He moaned and groaned the whole game. He cost your team points will his mouth. That being said, I wish Western had 2 just like him. Guy can play.

I don't think it was said in good humor, I think it was said to belittle Jon.I have a lot of respect for your program, I think WKU and MT do for the conference in bball what FAU does in football. Still, I want these teams to meet in Frisco, you may miss those outlandish differences seen in foul totals when playing in Bowling Green.

So what was the excuse at Marshall when we could have won by 40? Oh yea I remember now...WKU basketball judging by fans here have arrived this season, all the haters coming out, it feels good to be relevant again...Missed this with football this past season, 6 months was too long to be out of despised category for WKU sports...

Western drives the ball almost everytime down the court so that's going to get more fouls called than a team that shoots 30 threes a game. Sometimes you get refs that want to control the game...Saturday night was one of those times.

But let me say that this same Western fan was calling out the difference in fouls when Western played Ohio . Pay no attention to it.

We all get upset when one team is on the other end of getting more fouls called. Both teams got some bad calls on Saturday night...the beer belly guy wanted to call most of the calls in that game.

Two reasons Western goes to the line more than most teams they play. As I said we drive the ball or go inside to JJ or Coleby and both of those players love to take a bump before shooting. The other, Western plays very little defense in the paint till around 4 or so minutes left. With only 2 bigs and a total of 7 players they got use to playing soft to keep from fouling.

Question has been answered. Since sweeping the UAB/MT home stand two road games two losses.

Yeah, I knew that would happen to Marshall. Their offense of chucking threes and relying on getting bailed with fouls on out of control drives does not travel well. You have to play good defense consistently to win on the road.

Well, I didn't which is why I wanted to see how it played out first.
