He should appeal for the same tax benefits the NFL receives. They should try to get a contract with Fox first, if that does not work they should try Trinity Broadcast Channel, OAN (One American News) channel or Max News Channel. Their commentators must be politics free. These channels are already on Direct TV and other outlets.

They should immediately lock up Home Depot, Hobby Lobby, Chick-fil-A, Ace Hardware , SouthWest Airlines & major oil companies As major advertisers

And most of all they and their players should stay out of politics.

What's truly funny about this, is the people so outraged by the NFL, pleading for this sort of league are largely the same people so fond of the term "snowflake". This definitely sounds like Tomi Lahren's idea of a football league(maybe she could be commissioner?), but if watching a football league made up of some 300 guys who can't make the Browns is tolerable to you if it means no politics, more power to you I suppose.

As for Home Depot, considering co-founder Arthur Blank owns the Atlanta Falcons, you can probably scratch that one off the list.

Fox is also not happening and while any of those other networks make far more sense, It seems almost certain that the XFL will rely heavily on streaming.

One things is for sure I'm not watching a bunch of over paid thugs spit on my nation's flag. Those days are over. That's why they've lost the two season tickets in my home.

Silent protest, whether or not you agree with it, does not make someone a "thug". Nor are they "spitting" on the flag.

Talking about silent protest, have you seen the 1/2 empty stadiums.

The XFL had a lot of problems. It was thrown together in haste. The league was supposed to get a second season. I'm curious to see how he rebounds from that embarrassment. I do hope it works, but good luck.

RE: OT: XFL making a return
They're going to have to somehow sign quality players.

One of the main reason the XFL failed is that, simply put, the product wasn't as good. The players weren't as good. And since no one had a true rooting interest like we do with college teams, then no one really had a reason to watch. It was semi-pro football.

One interesting dimension would be the ability to sign players straight out of high school. Maybe hire Lavar Ball as VP of Marketing :)

The only possible way I can think of accomplishing this would be using a Designated Player system like MLS does where you can have X number of players who only count a predetermined amount against your cap, regardless of what you pay them. Currently in MLS you can pay up to three players whatever you want and they only cost something like $450k against your cap.

But even if the XFL were to implement this, it's likely the best you could do is overpaying current NFL backups.

He'll be 30 years old and three years removed from the NFL and sadly he probably still would make one of the teams.

RE: OT: XFL making a return
The NFL attendance has declined over 2 million fans in the last 36 months. One reason given is the kneeling player issue. Another reason is the cost is too high, according to Yahoo Sports it cost $443.93 to attend an NFL game when everything is taken into consideration. Another reason is the games are too long.

XFL may be able to win some of these fans over. I hope so.

Nope

In the live webstreamed press conference, McMahon seemed much more open to Kaepernick playing than Manziel. He was asked directly about both.

I would say the majority of people who are excited about the XFL are people crying about politics in the NFL, if the XFL requires players to stand for the anthem, I don't see how Kaep ends up in the league nor do I see the fans even wanting him, even if he were to acquiesce to the unAmerican forced patriotism.

At any rate, he'd be 32 and three years removed from the NFL.

100% agree. I'm just saying that McMahon made much harsher public statements on Manziel than Kaepernick in that presser. Now, I'm sure part of that is because he knows Kaepernick is not likely to ever attempt to play in the XFL or agree to its rules, but it was still interesting...especially since a lot of people thought Manziel could be the posterboy for the XFL when it was rumored to come back.

The XFL would be wise to sign Kaepernick and Manziel IMMEDIATELY

They already said they cannot, both have DUI charges, VInce said they would take zero players with criminal charges including DUI's....

Kaep hasn't had any legal troubles, but with the XFL's unAmerican mandatory patriotism, Kaep wouldn't be interested, nor do I imagine would the majority of XFL fans have interest in cheering for him as he is the face of the movement that has them looking for an football safe space in the first place.

This will be interesting to see if Cato (and maybe Shuler) get a look.
