Either way, looking forward to the game on Wednesday. UC hasn't played anyone with a pulse in a while.
you had us below temple too at 6 (you had us battling for 6 or 7 with uconn)..to be fair to you, you said 4 was maybe possible for houston if davis stepped up and some of the new players turned out all right (justin was the one adamant that we would suck for sure)
also foster was injured 3 games ago, houston was higher in the standings before he was lost...and ucf's problem isnt tacko or taylors injury but the fact none of them can shoot..they dont have anyone to replace the production of matt williams..they wouldnt have finished very high even if they had everyone healthy.
Houston would have still likely been pushing for third even if everyone was healthy
SMU peaked at #22 in Kenpom. Houston hasn't touched that yet.
And I said Houston would be worse offensively without Dotson. They are. They are almost 30 spots worse on offense. I also didn't expect UCF to lose Dawkins, Taylor and now Tacko.
You are very confident going into the nations longest home winning streak. You act like you've dominated teams on the road this year. The reality, houston sucks on the road.
your best road win is #147 Saint Louis who is trash. When you've played top 100 teams on the road this season you are 0-2.
Add in that the reason no one has been able to stop your offense all year is because.... You've yet to play a top 70 defense all season long.
The 3 best defenses you've played this year were:
#75 SLU
#79 Providence
#74 Wichita State.
This isn't just the best defense you've faced all year, its the best defense you've faced in the last 18 years (since 2002 at least).
You can chill on the confidence. If you beat us, I'll gladly say congrats. But you have very little reason to be this confident in our gym.
