Nice win over bellarmine. Glad Rode had a big game in front of his home crowd. I was there and there was a great contingent of Liberty fans spread throughout Freedom Hall. It was nice to see.

So far this comment is again well. I'm sure we will come back down to earth a little but but I like our chances of winning 25 games still. The school record is 30 which would require us to win out and win the conference championship. I'm less confident about achieving that feat.

25 is still possible. But I will be surprised if we finish the season 11-1, which could put us at 25 regular season wins. Like you suggested, we may need to rely on 2-3 conference tourny wins to get us to 25.

The women’s team isn’t exactly shining this year. They need quite a run to get to 20 wins.

We did it! 26-7

The women did very well too! 22-7

I was way too pessimistic.

Well, a disappointing end for the men's title hopes. Praying for consistency in CUSA refereeing. Certainly our guys earned that foul at the end, but there was way too much contact allowed against our guys, particularly McGhee.
Hopefully the NIT come calling, otherwise we've likely seen the last of McGhee in a Liberty uniform.

On to Wisconsin after a good game last night. Definitely one of the biggest brands in basketball that we've beaten to date!

Hoping the guys turn it up for a great game against the Badgers

LU will be challenged with a 7 footer, and with Blake's at 6'9", he's LUs biggest inside defender. LU should try to counter that with quickness. The block yesterday against KSU by their 7 footer at the end was the turning point that changed the game.

Just saying Villanova and Wisconsin as recent opponents for LU is a upward step for LU basketball. The Nova win was very good even though two big studs did not play. And Wisconsin has 17k arena and with the students back, can expect a ruckus crowd. A win here, on the road, against a Big 10 team, in NIT tourney play, would propel LU next year.
