Still better to be a has-been than a never-have, right UC fan?

We are currently very relevant and have national titles as well. Ours arent as recent as yours but 2014 feels like ancient history considering where your program is now lol.

Giiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiirl...LOL at "ancient."

Just posting because it was a dumb comment by one of your own.

Why would anyone care what a former football player has to say about the current state of the basketball program? I'd imagine Tulsa fans have better things to worry about.

He insulted the entire conference then called out TU and SMU specifically.
He obviously has no clue what he's talking about.
Don't comment on things your know little about.. especially to the media.

Sorry I hurt your feelers.

Easy there aren't that many Tulsa fans and he hasn't posted in a while. Plus he usually has great takes. That said back to the internet's.

Not a fair comparison which is why he used it. Let's try a different one.

Are you saying that it's that much easier to play in the AAC or it's harder for kids to get up to play Navy/Houston/UCF? Or ranked Memphis?

Temple, USF, and Cincinnati were already in the big east when you played there and ECU is a traditionally strong program on level with Virgina tech when they entered the big east. You don't even play Tulsa and SMU every year because of divisions.

Essentially he took the worst ones from the AAC (for UConn) and compared them to the best the old big east had to offer. It's a flawed comparison and a bad one anyway. As a 30 something pro back up qb, I doubt he has any idea how a 16 or 17 year old kid views teams right now.

I do but I’m curious why he called those two vs ECU and USF?

The AAC is not the reason UConn is down.
If you can’t recruit coming off a national championship in what is considered a power basketball conference then that’s a coaching issue.
The BE is 6 and the AAC is 7 so while there is a disparity there, it’s pretty small.

Cute to blame others for your downfall although no one but you and football player guy think that but again, maybe neither one of you are as all knowing as you believe yourselves to be.

He should probably shut his mouth.

UConn is the king of both insane tournament runs and signing awful contracts with coaches.
