new river gorge
anybody ever been? the lady and i have an air bnb cabin on the new river in a few months. been wanting to go there for going on a minute now, not to jump off of bridges or anything remotely totally gnarly. no just hiking and looking at sh!t. never thought i'd get there. i haven't felt this way since that time i finally went to isle royale. anyway, is barboursville neat? it's sorta a midway point. looks pretty swell. fayetteville as well

RE: new river gorge
I've been a few times. Never stayed at the cabins, but there are a couple nice multi day hikes. My favorite is to Ravens Rock. There are are some really nice climbing spots, if that interests you. I have a few friends that were really into it, so I just followed their lead. There is a pizza place called Miguels that is sort of an institution down there, really good. Its right off of route 11.

Wrong gorge!!! I should have read the title. My bad. I have been to the new River gorge on a few rafting trips. I don't have a ton of info to provide though, I stayed with a rafting company "river adventures", and everything was provided there. The river is beutiful.
