Oh, I realize how lucky I am. When Memphis is good, the Forum is packed and the crowd is rocking, she is as much into it as I am. When she was little, her parents divorced and her dad moved out of town. But, when he'd come in to visit, he always took her to games at the Coliseum. So she says going reminds her of that (he died when she was 18). But as it stands now, I cant justify the waste of time it is (45 min drive each way) and the waste of $$ to support this fukkn garbage. Wanted to do this before both of Pastner's last 2 seasons and Tubby's 1st and she talked me out of it. Not any more.

There was a day and time when I would have been so pumped over a Memphis vs Wichita 8:00pm game. Plenty of time for pregame on Beale, then see 2 good teams play. My poor wife absolutely loves going to games but had to finally put my foot down this year and say no more season tickets. We've been to 2 games this year. Wont attend another as long as Tubby continues to run the program in the ground while our admin stands by and allows it. I guess I'll watch until it gets out of hand and find another game on tv. So sad to see how far they've let our program go into the toilet.

Ahhh the Tubby haters 03-lmfao

Why would any Memphis fan choose to support him? He's a washed up bum

I don't support Tubby, but I still support the team and the school. So I watch to the end. And if I lived in Memphis, I would be there.

You make it sound like Rudd and Bowen are idiots and just want our program to fail. Yeah, that's why they just finished a state of the art basketball facility, and why they pay Tubby $3M a year.

No decision is foolproof, and Tubby hasn't completed his second season yet. Until the ECU loss, it looked like we were doing better than anyone predicted. Yet you and others have been griping about the whole situation since the season started.

The school owes you nothing, yet you act offended that they aren't good enough to make you happy. Just don't come any more. With fans like you...

Over and over again I end up respecting your opinions more tripleA. Throw out the specifics (school, coach) and that is how a fan should be. Evaluating the entire situation and generally supportive overall. Those fans sustain the program long term.

The entire situation here is this:

$7,000,000+ spent on Pastner's last 2 seasons and buyout
$6,000,000 on Tubby's 2 years
$20,000,000 on practice facility

0 NCAA tournaments in 4 years

That's correct. Over $33M spent for nothing. So while our prez and AD do care, they along w/ big $ boosters, just don't see much return on their basketball investment. But hey, they can enjoy the senile HOF coach w/ the other 2000 people left who go to games.

Sorry bud, but your team will not be the one to end the nations longest home win streak, my guess, UC by 17 to 20.

You realize he hasn't finished his second year yet? Pulling the program out of a nose dive created by Pastner?

It's amuses me you call judging a coach not done with his second year a failure, shows how much value should be placed on your opinion.

You should have seen Gregg Marshall his first year. What a mess... he actually went into the AD's office and asked to be fired.

Nobody is turning a program around in 2 years.

Nobody is getting back to the Dance on a rebuilding job in under 3.

Fans might feel different if the next 2 recruiting classes didn't look to be the lowest ranked in modern Tigers history. He doesn't even try to recruit.

Not based on just this year. He was lousy at Minny & Texas Tech. Cant recruit for squat. Hell, he's put us on equal footing w/ Tulsa. That should tell ya how awful he is right there. BTW, he's not pulling us out of anything. He's worse than Josh

Hopefully Memphis fans remember it took Cronin 4 seasons to make the NIT at Cincy and 5 to make the NCAAs.

I don't think we have any fans that have that kind of patience.

Open a new practice facility and we're supposed to have All Americans lined up wanting to play for the Tigers is more the thought process. That's a little bit hyperbole, but not much.

Yes, but we were completely (not just partially) decimated, playing in the toughest conference in the country, with a coach just getting started in his career......
