Walke has done well in relief, and is a candidate to be a starting pitcher eventually. This might be a situation where we keep him in there deep into the contest.

Similar situation to when we allowed Kelly Secrest to go 6+ innings when we beat # 1 UNC back in '13. Not saying we allow him to throw that many innings, but its definitely an option...

Walke works his way around a leadoff walk to retire the Tarheels. He's faced 9 batters and allowed just 2 baserunners, keeping UNC off the board in relief.

Hawks to bat in the 7th, up 4-3!

Canada (1-2, 1 SB, 1 R); Jones (1-2, 1 RBI); Liles (0-1) due up.

Jones knocks a 1-out single, and UNC is headed to the pen to bring in their 3rd pitcher of the day.

Inning ends. Time to stretch; still 4-3.

Walke puts UNC's leadoff hitter, Riley, on with a leadoff walk. He worked his way around a walk last inning, but you can't tempt fate against adangerous lineup two innings in a row!

Austin Easter is warming up in the bullpen, and likely ready to go whenever Scalf wishes.

Walke gets a big strikeout before exiting for Easter. Fantastic job in relief by the JUCO transfer.

Easter gets the final out of the inning, keeping UNC from causing further damage.
