Michigan State tomorrow night at Fluor Field in Greenville before opening conference play against Georgia Tech this weekend.

That sounds like a nice evening in downtown Greenville. Clemson baseball is looking good, too.

RE: Open Thread - 2018 Baseball Season
Louisville trying for a conference sweep tomorrow after winning the series today against UNC. Since joining the ACC 4 years ago, Louisville has only lost 4 series total and won 26. The next closest is Miami with 19 total. They have swept 5 in each of the 3 years for 15 all total. The next closest in that time frame for sweeps is again Miami with 9.

Dan has been on a roll every since he arrived at Louisville, winning the regular season outright 6 times and sharing 2 times, across the BE, AAC and now the ACC. Not bad for just becoming a head coach in 2007. Hopefully it's another successful year with another trip to the CWS.

Why did six of the seven host schools this weekend have series ending double headers today, rather than the normal Sunday series finales?

Miami beat ND two of three, with ND taking the final game.

ND is 7-6 overall, 1-2 in ACC play.

ND plays St. Joseph's in Port Charlotte, Florida before a three game series at FSU.

After 18 straight games on the road down South (Baton Rouge, La., San Antonio, Texas, Kissimmee, Fla., Coral Gables, Fla., Port Charlotte, Fla. and Tallahassee, Fla.), ND finally heads back north to play a game in Chicago before the home opener on 3/21.

Nobody is.

If LSU doesn't want Mainieri, I will be happy to see him return to ND.

Yeah, they won't want to see the state of Kentucky again anytime soon. They dropped 2 of 3 to the Cats. So they went 2-3 in the state of Kentucky and those were their first 3 losses of the season.
