That’s what happens when you can’t hit the broad side of the barn, even from the foul line.

And BTW thanks a lot Dave.

I think his comment is directed at a post Dave made elsewhere. IIRC, Dave mentioned the Marshall game was the first game he attended in person this season. That is the negative energy he is talking about. Thanks Dave! 05-mafia

That's correct. The Marshall game was my first of the season. If I'd stayed home we would have hit all those foul shots :)

(I did the same thing with the Nashville Predators last season during the Stanley Cup run. I would not watch on TV and would just keep up via Twitter. That avoidance of the bad BRD juju took us all the way to the Final :)

Your nega-MT attitude is contagious. Stay home. Stay home!!! 03-lmfao

Dave doesn't like anyone who is running things at MT, so he's adopted some bad juju as he calls it. It's like a plague.

2. Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders
There won't be another mid-major team under more pressure this week than the Blue Raiders. Entering this past weekend, they had the best at-large profile of any mid-major team and seemed poised to earn a bid even with a loss. Then they dropped a home game to Marshall -- losing to the Thundering Herd for the second time this season. Given Middle Tennessee's best wins this season are over Murray State and Western Kentucky, a great RPI and record away from home might not be enough to save the Blue Raiders anymore. It could be automatic bid or bust for Kermit Davis' team this week.

Kermit is a master of psychology. His ability to motivate his guys on to the next conquest is under appreciated. However, I think he made a big mistake after the western game. He kept talking about (and told his team) that he thought MT would be in the dance now. He sent a terrible message to his team. It was not time to take the foot off the gas.

I don't believe we will win the conference tournament now unless Giddy, Antwan Johnson and Brandon Walters all just go off in unison and pull the slack. King is tired. He's never played this many minutes in his career and hasn't played a full season in three years. If you watched him Saturday he had no legs left. That's why he kept missing free throws. Kermit needs to give him more rest in the conference tournament. Which means other guys are going to have to carry the team. And they can, but it means that the team will basically have to win the tournament differently than how they won the regular season. I don't expect much from King this week. Giddy can carry it all by himself, but he's not been as good this year compared to his historical performance. The tournament is wide open my friends.

And to win 3 games in 3 days you need good point-guard play. Hopefully Sims is ready for the pressure, and Dixon is 100% back from concussion.
