I don't think we're playing good enough to win the tournament. RPI will be low 30's upper 40's. And does anyone really think the NCAA won't be shipping our ass to Oxford?

I don’t think the tournament will be completed. But we’re definitely the favorite if it does. Our bracket is very favorable.

And Oxford wouldn’t be the worst draw. There are some other sites I’d rather be sent to, but I don’t think playing there is the worst-case scenario. It would suck for State and Ole Miss to put us out B2B years, though.

Little late responding to this (must have glanced over it), but what the hell does this even mean and how would I go about doing it?

What I think is odd is when State is residing on the bubble and Florida has the number one national seed locked up State miraculously and mysteriously sweeps a series from Florida. And then not even a week later when State has secured their place in the tournament and LSU is on the outside looking in they dispatch State which probably earned them a spot in the tournament. Funny how often things like that seem to happen in the $ec.

It’s definitely a conspiracy. The IHL, SEC, NCAA, ESPN, and CL are all behind it.

This is sarcasm, btw. Ha

They don’t have to have a conspiracy...They Play a “tough schedule”...so they get in win or lose...

I no longer question the possibility of such shenanigans given the sh* ton of money on the table now.

And that’s not sarcasm.

Florida has lost 6 of their last 7 games and are still #1 in RPI. That just doesnt seem right.

Florida is 24-12 against the Top 50 with series wins over #3, 4, 12, 20, and 25 and 2-0 in the midweek vs. #10. Hell, their non-conference SOS is 16th. That earns you some RPI points to fall back on if you lose a series.

5-4 vs. the Top 50 does not.

They play MOST of those top 50 teams during the weekend with their BEST starting pitchers....we usually play our Top 50 teams mid-week, when our pitching sucks.

I'd say we would have a few more victories vs Top 50 if Sandlin, Powers et al were starting (as they did against MSUcks, which DID sweep the Gators, no matter how you parcel it), not the usual suspects...

It's amazing how many of our folks buy in to SEC propaganda...

-7 of our 11 games against Top 50 competition were on the weekend. We lost 2/3 that Sandlin started and Powers didn’t get through the fifth in his two starts.

-You think we are facing great pitching on the weekday? USA’s pitching is trash and Ole Miss started a freshman in one. That goes both ways.

I was referring to FLORIDA, not Old Piss....and the FACTS speak for themselves: They obviously will play more top 50 teams because they are IN the friggin' SEC---right? Nothing we can do about that. They also will use their 1-2-3 pitchers against SEC opponents---right? We did purty well against ONE SEC team (MSUcks) when we started our 1-2-3 pitchers---right?

So yeah....maybe 7 of the 11 was the weekend, but 3 of those was an anomaly against the Bullpuppies.

ANYONE with half a brain (including my half) knows we are a much better team during the weekend, although the bullpen stood proud during the tournament (hope they can keep it up) and belied that.

well stink, we gonna hafta use all of our "starters", and then some, during the tourney so maybe WHO STARTS THE FIRST GAME ain't that impotent.

I KNOW "coach-think" pretty well, and they'll say "you gotta win the first game before even worrying about the 2nd". 04-cheers

I just know we can go over and over different scenarios befo' the tourney, and those are usually "gone with the wind" after the first day!

if they lose, you easily toss Sandlin.....

however, if they don't (since they play the first game, we'll know the impact), it makes zero sense to me why he's announcing this early....

it's a given arky is saving their 1 guy......hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
