Dan, I’ve searched Southeastern VA and cannot find Woodpecker Cider anywhere. I thought it was a weird name anyway and sounded more like what a man creates when he relieves himself. Hey Bubba, I just released some woodpecker cider.
I’ve got a replacement for you and hopefully you savor your bracket victory with it. It is called Woodchuck Cider and it is the self proclaimed “brand that started the American cider revolution in 1991.” Apparently, it is also “Fiercely Crafted” in Middlebury, Vermont.
Since I choked in attempts to find your first request, I have added a 6-pack of Bold Rock Hard Cider IPA. It is a hybrid mix between Apple cider beer and hops found in West Coast IPA’s. Bold Rock is “crushed and crafted here in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia.” Hopefully, you will enjoy this 6-pack if the Woodchuck cider doesn’t compare favorably to Woodpecker cider.
Your prize package will include a delicious assortment of America’s favorite snacks including these Billion $ brands... Lay’s, Doritos, Tostitos, Fritos, and Cheetos.
Enjoy! (And quit coming on our boards and winning contests)
P.S. both 6-packs turned into 5-packs when I was packaging your prize due to a sudden urge to drink them. You are still +4 vs the original prize guarantee.
The Hart Foundation rates the Woodchuck Cider as thumbs down - too sweet for me. The Hart Foundation rates the Bold Rock IPA as thumbs up - solid, unique brew with a dry, subtle hoppy finish.
