I would venture to say there are far more violent criminals on the Democrat side so maybe They can purge Their base of folks that are armed and have committed crimes first so the Good Guys won't need to use Their guns protecting Themselves.

If guns are outlawed, only cops and robbers will have guns. Not sure which one I would fear more in that environment.
