DOJ to investigate FISA abuses.
Sessions announces FISA abuse investigation

Attorney General Jeff Sessions said Tuesday that the Justice Department will investigate potential abuses of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA).

"Yes, it will be investigated," Sessions told reporters at the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court, which oversees FISA warrants, according to the Washington Examiner.

He said looking into any abuses is the "appropriate thing" to do.

Sucks to be Samantha Power or Susan Rice right about now...

Good. It will be interesting to see all the abuses by the GOP appointed judges.

I have more confidence in the IG doing this than someone in the DOJ below that level. BTW, shouldn't be too much longer before the IG's report is out on the Cankles Server and the rest of the associated cluster fark.

You still don't get it, do you? We don't care how they vote, what they call themselves, or to whom they donate in political races. We want them to follow the law, nothing more, nothing less.

Even if they were confirmed by a democrat senate.

Exactly. This isn't a Republican or dim issue, this is a violation of the civil liberties of American citizens issue.

Sad that those on the left see everything as a partisan issue.

OK, I agree with you. So, if nothing comes of it, please don't cry politics! If people get indicted, I won't cry politics. Let the chips fall where they may, just like in Muellers investigation.

Democrats warned when the Patriot Act and all the post-911 laws came into effect that it would be abused against Americans. They were right, it apparently has been.

If some Democratic hacks get in trouble for it, we ought to remember that we can't blame Democrats alone for it coming to be.

Its non-partisan, and everyone now should want it fixed and reformed.

I would bet this is not the first misuse of the FISA act.
There are a couple of other very curious happenings since the passing of the patriot act. Total power of government to spy on its citizens is total power to destroy.

I would bet A LOT that it's not.

I would bet that there were plenty of violations during both the Bush and Obama administrations.

They don't care about any of that as it doesn't advance the narrative.

Probably the biggest news story of the day and it slips right by. Interesting.

We have now officially begun the beginning of the end phase of the Russia Russia Russia story. Obama should start his bucket list--otherwise he might miss his window. Im sure he will make orange jumpsuits cool again.

What if it goes on for two years and prosecutors start arresting and charging people with unrelated crimes so that "they can turn them"....

Actually that's how major investigations are conducted. While it's not politics, read about the Enron investigation. They take years to complete and almost always start by indicting low to mid=level people and turning them. It's a nasty business.

How did enron turn out? Yea, not very well for the d*pshits who prosecuted them. You can find said dipsh*ts as they are on Muellers Team Taint.
