I expect to be in the top half next year, no higher than 3.

I agree with this. Our 1-4 could be pretty damn good with Landry, Austin, CJ (if he develops to his potential) and Duff. 5 scares me though.

RE: Oath of Honor 3/4/18
In 2012 we lost to VCU in the first round of the tournament I was pissed because I thought we were 3 years off from having a team capable of going on a run again. We went to the Final Four the next season. In 2016 we lost FVV and Ron Baker and I thought we were another 3-4 years off from having a team capable of making a run. I thought our team last year was the 2nd best team of the Marshall era (possible unpopular opinion). This will be the 3rd major reload of the Marshall era. I think we’ll be down next year, but Marshall has already proven me wrong twice.

WSU will be down next year compared to this year no doubt. How does that translate into next year's conference race? I am not sure.
However, I still expect WSU to be top half and, at worst, a bubble team. It's just where this program is right now. They will still have plenty of talent and a great coach.

I wish we could clone a couple of your guys. Best team that UC has faced this season and that includes 1 seed Xavier.

I said all season Wichita would probably lose 5 conference games in the regular season. They lost 4 and barely eeked out an overtime win at UCF thanks to our depleted roster and DPOY being out for the season.
This season was probably Wichita’s best chance at making noise. Several AAC teams are projected to be considerably better next season. Best of luck in the tournament. Enjoy Orlando!
Cheers!
Sooooo .. Having one of the best recruiting classes in the league means we are done for?
Will there be bumps next year? Absolutely ... I wouldn't predict WSU down for long with Marshall at the helm though.
And we're likely not done recruiting yet...

We were 1 pt. from 1st in the league buster. And we did it with players we recruited while in the MoValley. What do you think Gregg Marshall's AAC teams are going to look like in a couple years? That's right...

I wouldn't expect a big difference. WSU is already a great program, conference be damned.

Before we had even played a game in the AAC Marshall said that phones were being picked up that had never been picked up before in regards to recruiting. Will be interesting to see what the roster makeup is in the future.

Tonight Marshall said on his coaches show that he had so many recruits at the Cincy game he didn't have time to meet them all. He said that's the first time that has happened. CB likes to make outlandish predictions. CB is going to make another one tonight.
I predict that Gregg Marshall is going to build Wichita State into the Memphis of 2008, but he's going to do it cleanly. We are gonna become a poor man's Kentucky or I guess you could say pre-FBI Louisville. We are going to sport extremely long, extremely athletic specimens who will not only change the way Marshall coaches, but will change Wichita State's athletic program forever. Gregg Marshall has 7 years left in him as a coach. Before he leaves Wichita State we will have won the national championship... at least once.
