Watching it on espnu now and it’s insane. Anyone here attend?

Showing clips of things falling from roof and rafters swaying back and forth.

People watching on tv must’ve been so confused.

I believe Bama and Mississippi State were on the court when it happened.

I wasn't there and I can't remember why, but I don't think I was watching it live either. I did know some folks in attendance though.

The whole thing was also fascinating because of what Georgia did to win the tournament on Georgia Tech's home floor.

They’re on the part now where because they moved to a 9k seat court when 20k prebought tickets, many were angrily sent home and there’s clips of UK fans putting on a scene.

I didn’t attend but my dad was having heart surgery in downtown Atlanta at the time and I distinctly remember having to sit in the hallway of the hospital while it passed and not being allowed to go outside afterwards because there were shards of glass still falling off buildings. It was scary.

The only reason I remember it is because I was on my way to Spring Break in Panama City and everybody was talking about it.

You do NOT get between Kentucky folks and their basketball. It's a recipe for disaster.

My roommates and I at Newberry joined the FD and rescue squad while we were in college. One of them ended up in Atlanta and volunteers with one of the departments in the suburbs. He emailed me some pictures of calls they were running from that storm.

The storm system that caused the damage was a two day event. We ran out tails off the next day with storm related calls, including a bunch in the neighboring county on mutual aid. We ran out first call around 9:00 AM and didn't see the station again until after 6:00 PM. Refueled our engine twice, including once using my personal gas card at a truck stop while in the neighboring county.
