Best conference of the year? The old SWC, with the following projected to make the Dance:

Texas Tech
TCU
Houston
Arkansas
Texas A&M
Baylor
Texas

That's 7 of 9. And SMU was a contender before injuries wrecked their season.

RE: Bracket Matrix
It has amazed me how far Texas Tech has come in basketball. That place was once a wasteland.

Flip Louisiana and Murray and this is not the year to be on the 5 line.

Loyola-Chicago (26 RPI, 42 KP)
Middle Tennessee (28 RPI, 45 KP)
New Mexico State (41 RPI, 54 KP)
Murray State (49 RPI, 58 KP)

Problem is though none of those teams, maybe Texas Tech the exception, are threats to go very far in the Tournament

to me, looking at the Matrix- this might not be a year to be on the 4 line...
Murray State 49/58
South Dakota St 53/81
Buffalo 32/80
Vermont 56/69

this may be the strongest group of 12/13 seeds that we've seen in years. And the 4/5 lines may be about as weak as ever. Quite the combo.

Come back at me and see how many make the Sweet 16

Yeah, and, while it sounds a bit crazy...anyone getting the Ivy champ is getting a fight. That could be a 1 or a 2. Harvard or Penn...deceptive, and play up for better opponents.

There is potential for a bad first weekend for the top lines. Thursday and Friday should be okay...running into the four lines that make the 7-10 stew is going to be nightmarish. With really no consistency among anyone, if you're going to run into a Rhode Island, Houston, or St. Mary's...yeah, good luck with that.

well, conceptually I called it about the 13's, but not the exact specific teams. Did have Buffalo- but not Marshall who of course won CUSA. Even the other 2 13's gave fights....
