Green and Murphy on the court at the same time?? I've never seen such a thing.

And with that Green picks up his 4th

Some really physical play down low. Murphy really holding his own in there. His rebound where the announcers said he elbowed the UNCW player wasn't and elbow but should've been a foul, his shoulder went pretty hard into his chest.

Hitting more open shots this half. Still some good defense.

Still nervous

Perfect storm against you guys tonight.
Two close games this season but the third wasn't to be.

Really happy we are playing our best basketball at the tournament. Honestly I think we have something left in the tank offensively tomorrow.

We are not THAT much better than UNCW but we'll take the win and move on. Wiz....I know that you were at the game and didn't get to see the broadcast but you will love this....one of the an announcers called Vasa (twice) "the best player in the league."

We shot below our season averages in FG%, 3PT%, and FT% this game. This game was all about our defense that was smothering. Still really happy about it.

3 wins in a row with 20+ point margin of victories. When's the last time that's happened for us?

We'll certainly give it a go.

UNCW had a great end to the season after a rough start. Looking forward to what you guys will bring to the conference the next couple seasons!

Solid defense so far. Offense a bit sloppy, missing some shots, but so are Charleston. Close one so far, 12-8 NU under 12 in 1st half

28-21 at the under 4. Offense had no flow but we have hit a couple good shots. Charleston have had a couple chances to take the lead and get the crowd rocking but haven't been able to. Keep on chugging

NU up 36-23 at half

Good shooting at the end there. Great defense.

The 2nd half and whatever post season tournament we play in depends on the health of Pusica. Really hope he is okay....knee injuries are never good

Charleston on a run. We still have no flow on offense, now have turned it over 3 times in a row. Sloppy. We need to get our act together fast. Luckily we built up a nice lead so we still habe leeway. 44-33

Our offense looks awful right now. We have no open looks, but are literally bailing ourselves out with hot 3 point shooting. I mean, it's not like it's a fluke, we know we can shoot at times, but what a time to do it!

58-48 at the under 8

Great season. Can't explain the second half turnover parade (or the fact that every time they drove the lane a foul was called and it seemed like when we drove the lane ......crickets.) Anyway, we move on.

Watching the BC playoff game today the announcers said that with a win BC would be in the NIT conversation. They haven't been willing to play us in ten or so years. Seems like a natural.

You had a great season and a very good team. I hope BC is forced to play you in the NIT in your house because you have a better rpi

RE: 2018 CAA Tourament
I needed the night before I decided to post.

Bottom line, we pissed this game away. We inexplicably choked. We had this game won. 17 point second half lead and a 5 point lead with 40 seconds left in regulation. You have to find a way to close it out. I thought when Occeus blocked Chealey’s shot off the board, I thought we had it won.

The collapse was a perfect storm. We all knew CofC was going to make a run and their fans were going to get loud. They did, but we still had control of the game.

But the turnovers were just bad. Anyone associated with NU knows we have a tendency to do that, but on multiple trips we handed the ball over and they took advantage.

Red and Vasa also have to make those free throws. The free throw miss by Vasa when he had 3 of them after he was fouled behind the arc was huge! It would given NU a 7 point lead with under 40 seconds, three possession game if he makes all of them. Especially because Chealey made all 3 of his. Speaking of Chealey, Max has to let him shoot that 3 and not fall for him drawing that foul. But we’ve fouled 3 point shooters this year and this time it bit us on the arse!

The great defensive effort the last 10 minutes of regulation faded with the exception of Occeus and they went to the basket easily again. Once it went to OT, I knew we were done. Had to win that game in regulation after all we had done.

Now anyone who knows me from this board knows I don’t complain about calls ... but that was NOT a travel on Vasa, no way. Red was absolutely mugged on that drive to the hoop when the refs said the ball went off his knee. It probably did. But when you get knocked on your arse like that, the ball just on sheer physics will hit one of your limbs.

I liked CofC joining the league and the hoops program, but they have quickly become an unlikeable team. So glad Shawn held Riller in check and frustrated him because his antics were tired. No need for the ‘bow and arrow’ crap vs. W&M. And it was comical to see Brantley politic to the refs during a time out for calls against Murphy. He’s bigger than him but he thinks the kid is fouling him? Please.

This one hurt, big time. But this team deserves to keep playing this year. 23-10, first place tie and RPI under 70. We should keep playing. But if we don’t, next year we have everyone back plus Jordan Roland. We should be the favorite!
