Not to kick you when you are down, but the 4 years in a row is more likely because your program is bad. ECU gives more minutes to freshmen who end up getting more stats. Then they win all-freshman honors because programs like UC and WSU are not playing freshmen.

No Kentrell Barkley’s and BJ Tyson’s stats had little to no progression over their times at ECU, and Lebo was notorious for not playing freshmen even when they are better than the people on the court. Tyson’s per 40s were actually highest by a good margin his freshman year

Leading scorer in the AAC. Sole reason Memphis was picked 9th but finished 5th, and did much better than expected. He carried our team on his shoulders for so many wins it's pitiful.

I'm not endorsing Martin for 1st team, just 'splaining.

You follow some mighty uninformed Twits. The conference absolutely nailed the first team.

What is even more funny, Memphis best win came with martin on the bench(Houston).

True, but most of our wins were almost solely due to Martin. Especially before all the Juco guys started to get it. Jucos came into their own recently, not long before the Houston win.

Not a conference award, but Landry made the USA Today third team All American team.

I'd say Cameron Reynolds was the biggest snub.

Tulane didn't need 2 players on the 2nd team. They were certainly better than they were last year, but they still weren't a great team.

I think Tulane got extra props by a lot of people this year just because they were actually not terrible anymore. It may have been a little over kill. But at least they are getting better.

Tulane having an RPI of 160 instead of 260 really helped the conference. They weren't that good, but they were significantly better that many expected.

This is the kind of kid you can build around.

I hope our next coach (Joe Dooley!) can help set him up for success!

Just curious but why would Joe Dooley take the ECU job? I feel he'd have much better options...

Because he used to coach at ECU, he has family in the area, and has been in contact with ECU about the opening since it became open.

Oh, I had no idea. Thanks for the info. He'd be a home run hire.

Nice to see Gary Clark racking up the hardware already. One of the finest young men to ever put on a Bearcat uniform.

Brooks was a bit of a surprise as 6th man (I would've gave it to Darral Willis) but still deserving nonetheless.

Has someone forwarded the Sportsmanship Award results to Ms. Box of the Shocker Dance Team?

Agree about Gary Clark.

He's kind of an anomaly on the Bearcats team.

When do they normally announce POY? Just wondering if it will go to Clark, because everyone loves him and his game (deservedly so), or if it will go to someone else.

I think everyone that’s watched Gary play or seen him interview knows he’s a great kid. I have no idea who her tweet was about, but if it was in reference to Clark, I think it would be much more difficult to believe.

No one claimed it was Clark. There wasn't a name mentioned.

Though i do find it kind of sad that people are making fun of it like it's worse to call it out rather than the people doing it.

That will be announced on Thursday.

Clark led the league in:

PER
Offensive Rating
Defensive Rating
Offensive Win Shares
Defensive Win Shares
Box Score +/-

I'd be shocked if he didn't win POY.
