The noise is what's going to kill them. It's going to be that hollow, can't tell what direction the sound is coming from, tinny, racket. Communication on the courts will be impossible. Huddles on the timeouts will be impossible. Whistles will be deafening on both courts. Might as well play in the Grand Canyon during a thunderstorm.

On the brightside, I bet the bathrooms and concessions are top notch.

If those pictures aren't bad enough, look at the view from the stands. I hope they give out free binoculars. The silver lining is I expect ODU will play terrific FT defense.

As far as basketball goes, I don't understand why, after the first round or so, the higher seed can't host for that game, would make TV appearance a lot better and actually make revenue for someone. The Big South did it this way, looked pretty successful to me. They held the first round in Asheville, the after that the higher seed hosted the following game. Championship game in Radford was over capacity as a result.......... Imagine a champ game at MT, WKU, MU, USM, ODU etc, that would look awesome on TV......

Our bowls aren't getting better, worse if you really think on it, we went form a 2-3 bid league to 1 bid. It's just lost too much. Quick question why didn't they flip it to add more seats? There's a bunch of room on the side seems like it would make more sense to at least have one since side be stadium seats instead of 0. What happens if people actually want to go to this. It can't seem much more then 2k without putting people in the end zone a mile away.

Yep, the only reason not to do it is the grow/expand your brand as a league.

But this (Frisco) is going to do absolutely nothing to grow the league's brand. All it's going to do is further to serve the continued degradation of it.

The key is to separate the men's and women's. That would open up a lot of options. But I agree with you, anything would be better than this.

Upsets a'coming folks.

This setup is not for the faint of heart.

Just hope MT can hold on, because outside shots are going to be at a premium with that much space behind the baskets.

Are any of our Athletic Directors on record about this disaster? I'm assuming they ok'd it earlier, but I can't believe they're at all happy about this abortion.

I'm going to watch the games with my son, who is an alumnus of a different conference, and I'm actually embarrassed for CUSA.

Just wait until a high seed loses a close game, because they stopped play due to a whistle on the other court.

And lets be honest guys, there is no neutral ground for this league, its too spread out for fans to attend and make revenue. Which leads to a terrible atmosphere and terrible appearance as far as TV is concerned. It worked at Memphis because Memphis loved basketball period, but it really hasn't worked anywhere else. The neutral ground idea has to go.

Wow, even our Convocation Center looks pretty good compared to the scenes in those photos. I don't know whether to laugh or grimace.

I think there's a few locations that would work. Charlotte or Nashville. I don't mind B'ham and El Paso as long as it's not every year. But yeah once the host team falls out you can expect pretty low attendance for the most part. But hell at least it would be in a basketball arena. Move it to S Fla. that will bring a few more fans from each school.

That said I'm warming up to the home court idea.
