2018 CAA Women's Basketball Tournament
Drexel's big tournament isn't getting off to a good start due to the weather. Wednesday's pillow fight games are being played a few hours earlier than scheduled at Noon and 2:30 instead of 2 and 4:30. That's not going to make a difference.

I hope that the CAA will be making sure that all officials, and game day staff will be in University City on Tuesday night.

I saw a tweet that this is the first time that the #1 seed will be playing on its home court in 15 years. That was the last time that ODU hosted the CAA Tournament.

Hopefully Drexel can take advantage of their home court this week.

We will be playing the winner of UNCW/Towson. I would guess we will be playing Towson.

Mrs. Timer might be the only person in the seats tomorrow, along with maybe Calvin, who seems to live in the DAC.

I had planned to go to part of the games tomorrow, but the snow screwed up those plans.

Nope, Mrs. Timer is guarding the homestead tomorrow...with mixed feelings about it. Plans to be there for Thursday's games.

The tournament got off to a rather strange start. Once the game started, Towson got charged a technical foul because one of the players was wearing the wrong uniform number.

How does that even happen? Wow. Thats almost as bad as using the wrong size ball that happened, what, 2-3 years ago in the regular season at UNCW?

Could have just been an innocent rules technicality, where her actual uniform had a malfunction, and had to wear a backup, but didn't follow proper protocol to notify league officials.

It's snowing like crazy out now, but it's supposed to stop by early evening. I think they predicted 4-8 inches in Philadelphia. Roads should be pretty clear by tomorrow, especially if you're not planning on showing up until later in the day.

Would love to meet you - I'll be in the crowd of old folks cheering loudly!! A few folks are coming up tomorrow with more Friday and, at last count, almost a full bus coming up Saturday.

Thanks for letting us hijack the board for a moment:-)

RE: 2018 CAA Women's Basketball Tournament
Is it GA seating for the whole tournament? I noticed our regular season game had GA seating plus premium options.

N/M, I found the site: http://drexeldragons.com/sports/2017/10/...ships.aspx

We're going to be great hosts for this tournament, so we might as well extend our hospitality to the message boards as well.

JMU WBB in Philly is one of my favorite road-trips just because we've made them a tradition. We even did St. Joe's last year when the Drexel game landed on a weeknight with conflicts.
