"if the security of North Korea and his regime are guaranteed"

Seems some are ignoring this part clearly showing he obvious is NOT in fact serious.

Elect trump...what do you have to lose? This.

Is John Kerry available 03-lmfao

Yep, li'l Fat Man probably learned this from Iran. If you make overtures you might get 50 million dollars in cash. So, yeah, let's send Kerry. He just loves to give away money.

LOL, THIS has been caused by our POTUS. Your man crush would have drawn another line in the sand and stood back while Fat Boy played hopscotch on it.

Talk? Sure, let's talk. The mass murdering despot can step down and retire in the "dictator protection program" somewhere in China and a new leader is appointed with approval from US, China and SK. Kim Dong has backed himself in a corner playing the ballistic missile dog and pony show card.

No, because there is no credible analysis to say otherwise. Look, I loathed W as much as the next person, but his administration was miles ahead of this current train wreck. This is what happens when you put people in government who have no desire or ability to actually make government work.

There's plenty. You just choose to ignore it, and that is your prerogative.

Yep, it's purely partisan. That goes for both sides though.

It might help if the hundreds of appointees were not road blocked by the Senate. At their current rate of approval, it wold take 11 years to approve all the positions waiting to be filled. Thats never been done before by any party to an incoming president. Dont expect the next Democrat president to have a smooth transition. The Dems have now changed the long tradition of smooth transitions of power by employing the subtle resistance of slow rolling nominees and using former bureaucratic appointees to work against the incoming administration. Never seen anything like it. Its a change that will no doubt be echoed by the Republicans next time they are in the losing position and will not serve us well in the future.

As for negotiations with NK---I have little reason to believe they are legit. They have nukes. They have intercontinental missiles. Nobody has ever dumped those and walked away from being a nuclear power. I doubt these negotiations are serious--but we will see.

Frankly, I have little concern over this. If NK is serious, then dumping their nukes and returning to community of nations requires very little of the US negotiating team or the administration. This is all about NK. If they arent serious, then it doesnt matter who we send. Any agreement will be worthless (like they were under Bush and Clinton--who I assume you think "wanted government to work" so much better than Trump).

I think there’s an element of that in play here.

Fat boy with bad haircut is realizing he may be locking horns with someone nearly as unpredictable as he is. We ain playing by his/NK rules, or the old handbook any longer.

The “security” of his regime won’t be threatened by us, or the “West” per se, I think he knows the biggest threat is internal. Several million starving people can be quite a formidable force.

He’s gonna have to cut a deal with himself- self preservation, or face a civil(ian) war.

Lobbing metal tubes full of petrol into the Sea of Japan isn’t gonna soothe the masses forever, at some point desperate people become desperate.

Thankfully this did not happen during King Zed's tenure as POTUS. We would be sending Fat Boy a ton of cash for no ROI.

Exactly, this has far more to do with South Korea being more amiable along with NK finally having actual nuclear weapons capabilities than it does with the orange buffoon.
