I usually get home from work around 4:15. I work 7am to 3:45pm everyday.

You must not be a night person or something then. Glad you decided to watch the game though. Dude, I'm 51, live 2 1/2 hours away from San Antonio, and have been to UTSA weekday football games in San Antonio, rushing there right after work to catch a 6:30 or 7pm game, and then head right back home that night (getting back home at about 1am) to be able to get to work on time in the morning. I've done that on a couple occasions with big basketball games also. Like the others said, it's not very often that we have to sacrifice some sleep/time for a game, but it's worth it if you're a true fan, and you seem to be. So enjoy, man.

I think it's less of an age thing, more of just after watching the last 2 WKU games I'm afraid of staying up til midnight to watch us lose. I mean, I'll do it, but it'll suck.

Dave and I went to Western at the same time. I'm 32, no kids but about to get married. Not being on the fast track was pretty nice in my book, but what do I know. I also see people my age with these awesome young humans that follow them around. To each their own.

Oh, and GO TOPS!

Understood, but I've had a number of people tell me about how they used to be able to do stuff like that when they were in college, or just younger in general, but can't anymore now that they're middle-aged. That's the only reason I gave my age. It just hasn't affected me at all though, and might just be a matter of whether we're a morning or a night person.

I'm about to get married too btw, and will soon have an 8-year-old daughter through the marriage (fiancé is about 8 years younger than I am). So congrats to both of us. lol

Yep, we were in no rush. My sister is only 3 years older but has a 9 and 6 year old. During that time my wife have been have to travel to fun places like Iceland and Montreal. My wife worked hard to get her masters and I've worked hard to get promotions. We're now in a good place with a nice little house. I think waiting on having kids is one the trends us Millenials have....along with killing Applebees with our love of avocado toast. 03-lmfao

Just so we're clear my comment wasn't in regard to your family planning. I'm 39 with a 9 y/o and a 18 month old. I'm certainly glad I was child free during my 20's. My comment was that you're the last person that should be complaining about staying up till midnight.

Because if I want to come in late, I can. That's nice.

Have kids young. This country is full of 32 year olds who think they are 19......and I don't mean that in a good way.

Kids make you younger than you are, but you're better off being young and having energy.

That or marry a younger woman like I did :)

I've moved 4 times, including to Germany since having children. We have visited France, Ireland, Poland, Czech Republic, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, and the Netherlands. With kids. I don't know why people act like you can't have a life when you have kids. I think those people need to work on time management.

I applaud all you "old" folks with kids. I am an engaged 29 year old with no kids and I can tell you I will struggle to stay up for these games. Hopefully its worth being tired on a Friday.

Side Note: Fiancee is a Radford grad, but I'm turning her into an ODU fan.

Yeah I don't know how people who have a full-time regular job can regularly stay up past 10 or 11 o'clock. Kids or no kids.

You don't even have kids yet!! Man you need to be in training then, your days of sleep are over, might as well get used to no sleep now 03-lmfao I have a 8 year old son and 6 old daughter, 20 months apart but might as well have twins....I don't know how any super fans like us on here could possibly go to sleep knowing WKU (or your team) is in a one and done season ending tournament....I wouldn't be able to go to sleep even if I tried in scenario tonight....I plan on hitting the gym hard tonight before game to get my energy level up, GO TOPS!!

Maybe it's because I work out in the morning before work. I go to bed at 9:30 and I'm up no later than 5:00.

LA Tech fans,

I know it is a little late, but congratulations on your win last night. I was angry after we lost and decided I needed to step away for a while. LA Tech played a good game and deserved the win. Good luck with the rest of the tournament.
