Let me explain. Almost assuredly, Western should now crack the top 50 in the RPI. That's going to keep MTSU with a 4-6 record versus the RPI top 100, and 3-3 against the RPI top-50.

Middle may even get a slight bump back into the top 30.

Agree. A WKU win would put our RPI in the high 30s or low 40s.

Even before the ODU win, looks like y'all got a bump to 44...

Best thing for MT would have been making it to the finals with you.

With the new quadrant system not sure how much difference it makes about top 50.

With ODU winning we were also assured a 3-3 record against Quadrant 1. ODU is now 74 (only two places from being a Quad 2 should someone move ahead of them). So, if they fall out the new measure the committee uses will work against us.

The reality is it doesn't matter. We are not getting an at large. There are too many P5 teams on the fringe. We gave the committee the out they needed to avoid having to make the hard decision.

Probably not getting in. It sucks for Middle. Those 17-14 SEC teams are something else. Lol

******* Tennessee always seems to throw a wrench in there somehow and they hung on tonight.
