You guys are legit.

I hope we all get far in the main tourney

If we all end up 5 seed or higher it would mean we are all favored to make the sweet 16
Imagine if we all made it to the elite 8

I’m just hoping they don’t screw us and put us all in the same bracket

Scoreboard

Did you even know what a scoreboard was before today?

Yes because we beat you last time we played too

So you've learned the art of counting since then too?

I can count higher than 6. Not sure you can

No short term memory? Youre the one who used the number 6.

And I've been on this board for years, baxk when UH was in CUSA . Lost access and site wouldn't let me reset password so I had to create a new one. Glad you could join us

Rob Gray thanks you for letting us punk (upset) you guys twice this season. Appreciate it.

No problem. Don't screw up the gift we gave ya

Wichita will have us ready for the 13 seed we play in round 1. After that, we’ll need to rely on the Cincy games against tougher competition.

No, Drexel got you ready for the 13 seed.

Oh wait....

So... Drexel > WSU? 03-lmfao

I can count to zero. The number of fouls called on Rob Gray. He’s just that good

His defense was incredible. Better than the hair burger.

BUT you're going to get a good NCAA Tourney seed and are primed to make a deep run.

again, welcome to a real college basketball conference.

SARCASM ALERT
When did a 3 bid average conference become a "real" conference? 03-nutkick I seem to recall AAC fans typically were not happy with NCAA seedings in the past few years. 05-stirthepot
Funny how all these big bad schools had to be validated by WSU.

Dude, I really have no clue what you mean? Never heard of a true basketball school needing validation from WSU. I just stated a fact with sarcasm. AAC should be grateful WSU prevented them from being a 2 bid league for a second straight year. HINT - ANOTHER SARCASM ALERT Mid-major conferences like the AAC should be thrilled with a three bid year. 03-nutkick

I will admit, I truly thought WSU would run through the AAC like hot knife thru butter. Can't believe WSU is happy with the outcome after all the pre-season hype. Were there injuries to the team? Was it just a young talented team that didn't meet expectations? I really know very little about WSU.

So did the entire country, national media, and most of Shocker Nation (including myself). I knew we would lose a couple games but second place was never a possibility in my mind.

I learned very quickly that his year's Shocker team had some glaring weaknesses but didn't want to admit to that fact. We simply do not play defense like we used to and I really cannot fully understand it. Either Gregg Marshall is attempting to change his coaching style in hopes of recruiting more offensive-minded (NBA) players, or we are hurting from losing several key assistant coaches, or we simply do not have players capable of running the type of defense that Gregg Marshall expects (doubtful).

RE: AAC Tournament Day 3: Semi-finals
Wichita was my preseason pick to win the national title. I thought Frankamp would be better. I thought McDuffie would be WAY better. Seems like the assistants always getting poached finally caught up, and as a casual viewer noticed they play too tight/make bad decisions at the end of high pressure games.

But they could still win the whole thing. Worse teams have won it all before.

Frankamp really does seem like a guy who should be shooting a lot more.

some finally uploaded a better angle of the plays:

to the blind wsu fans that said rob hit him but didnt get the balll..thaat its was the contact that forced him to drop it....

it is clear as day that rob went from the ball, and the ball was dislodged by robs hand

this is was called properly

We're still on this? imo, as someone who would have preferred a game against WSU, it was a good non-call. I watched the game but it was on mute while I played Taboo with my family. Was this really the most controversial call? I could produce at least 10 better gifs of Houston getting away with fouling in our last meeting than this.

it wasnt controversial at all...if you google the opinion of the refs on the game, most people on social media not attached to houston or WSU actually thought the refs were rooting for wsu because they got 2 huge foul calls, that on the replay were all ball that gave them momentum in the end ... it is almost unanimous the that was a perfect no call...the announcers in the game literally say that it was a perfect no call and applaud the refs for that ..

2 wichita fans seem to be denial about it though...

and we arent still on this i just promised and that i woould make that second gif for him, when i could find the clips

Yes because "social media" of a Houston fan isn't likely to be heavily Houston biased.

i said not attached to houston or wichita.. the game was trending , "rob gray" was also trending nationally...i wasn't looking at my feed, i was talking about the national feed...

search "rob gray" on twitter, when that played happened every single tweet that wasnt from a Wichita account praised him...you can search yourself... tons of post about being clutch,

almost any game where they the majority of the watch feel the refs blew a calll, it is heavily noticed

My favorite part about tonight was that cold blooded couldn’t even keep his character. He lost it. A broken man. It’s too bad. I thought he was better than that. I guess not being able to beat anyone in the regular season or tournament was the last straw.
