I’m disappointed Fulgham is at the top of his position. He did not play well last year. Hopefully, he has improved significantly. If not, our receiving corps are in trouble....again.

Agree with your assessment. He could be counted on the drop at least one easily catchable pass per game.

RE: Spring Training Starts Tuesday
I was talking about that the other day with my dad. How did he look at the end of the season? Fulgham that is. I'm not even sure how to look that up. I think it took some time for the receivers to adjust to SW. That's just an excuse but it'll make me feel better if all the drops we all remember subsided towards the end of the season.

I can't answer Fulgham directly, but I recall reading something the other day that SW comp% went up dramatically in the last 4 games, so bit9 may be on the money.
Related/unrelated: That said, and as someone pointed out earlier, I'd expect substantial changes in the depth chart due to both performance and injuries.

Competition played a big part in this. Playing Charlotte, Rice, FIU and MT at the end of the season. I don't put too much weight in that statement.

Thanks for acknowledging, however grudgingly, he did indeed improve.
(ETA: speaking of Williams, not Fulgham)

RE: Spring Training Starts Tuesday
Ya, I saw his QBR went up to like 130 (I think, total guess based on terrible memory) the last 4 games and his comp % went up. Was Fulgham a part of that? Shrug. But I would hope he's got a better report now as we'll need him to step the game up.

My memory isn’t great, but I remember Harper looking better toward the end of the season (vs Fulgham). Fulgham has good size and can get separation, but his hands are unreliable. I hope he has developed since last year. Although I’m sure Duhart will take significant pressure off the other receivers.
And, a little off topic, but I hope we crush Liberty on opening day. Humble pie for them and a pay check for us sounds sweet.

RE: Spring Training Starts Tuesday
I specifically remember him (Fulgham) dropping a very catchable pass vs Rice last year (last game of the season). I was sitting in a different seat than normal and responded out loud out of frustration that he is always good for a drop or two per game (everyone around me agreed). It is a problem that should cost him playing time unless those behind him are not up to the task either.

RE: Spring Training Starts Tuesday
Fulgham stats for the last four games of the season were 12 catches for 132 yards with no TDs. With 4 of the catches coming from BL during the last 4 games. Harper, Vaughn, and Little picked up the slack with Patterson and Ellison seeing some actioning.
What a catchable ball is can be debatable. For me, its anytime a player can touch the ball within a step or leap.
Stats caught/ targeted.
Fulgham vs. Charlotte caught 4 of 5
Fulgham vs. FIU caught 4 of 8
Fulgham vs. Rice caught 3 of 6
Fulgham vs. MTST caught 1 of 5

RE: Spring Training Starts Tuesday
Old Dominion University football practiced for the 10th time this spring, as Tuesday mornings workout lasted nearly two hours.
The first practiced since Saturday's scrimmage was a highly competitive one, featuring a pair of fourth down challenges. The first one, featuring fourth and short was one by the offense was clinched on a Steven Williams to Jonathan Duhart touchdown pass. The second one was one by the defense, as the defense had a sack to win the second challenge.
Also during the team portion of practice, Williams hit Duhart for a 30-yard touchdown pass and later hit Keion White for a 67-yard score. Gemonta Jackson scored from 30-yards out.
Embarrassingly badly written. It's WON, not ONE. ODU SID, have someone proof this crap, please.

It's true. Homonyms are truly hurting the program.

My God that was awful. You are an educational institution. Not publishing crap that makes your institution look like it is not educating people should be priority won.

Very funny, but a university should be able to hire someone who knows the difference and uses it correctly. And to look over his/her shoulder to make sure.

It really is embarrassing for a university to put out this stuff. And it happens all the time. It almost doesn't surprise me anymore. Somehow the leadership doesn't understand that stuff like this IS your brand. If you're too slack and unprofessional to make a proper public facing email, then the perception is so is your athletic department, so are your professors and administrators, so are your students, so is the level of education etc. I simply don't understand how this is such a continual problem for ODU.
