Word is they might part with Bodine, while relegating Ced to benchwarmer as well. At least they are admitting they made mistakes on the OLine.

A step in the right direction.

Bodine is a free agent. My guess is the Bengals don't sign anyone else significant until after the draft. If they land a center fairly early in the draft (there's a couple of centers that would be legit picks at #21 including Billy Price from Ohio St.), they probably don't push for Bodine. If not, then I could see Bodine coming back. Of course it really all comes down to the player's other options and the Bengals available cash and other options.

I don't think the Bengals have completely given up on Ced yet. I"m sure they would like to see if the new OL coach can maybe get more out of him. Glenn should be starting LT and I'm guessing the other 3 (Ced, Fisher and the other FA they signed) will compete for RT with the other 2 sticking as backups. I could also see them putting Ced at OG and seeing if anyone clicks there for him even though OT seems like a better fit for him physically.

OT, but speaking of Cincinnati offensive linemen, I'm sure many remember Anderson HS's Andrew Norwell. He had a good career at Ohio St. but went undrafted due to his perceived lack of athleticism. After four years at Carolina proving all the draft "experts" wrong, he just signed a 5 year deal with Jacksonville that makes him the highest paid OL (yes that includes OTs) in NFL history...

RE: Bengals Land Offensive Lineman
Sounds like Andre Smith will soon be definitely out of the Bengals picture for next year:

Quote:The Cardinals are signing former Cincinnati Bengals offensive tackle Andre Smith to a two-year, $8 million deal that could be worth up to $10.2 million, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Sounds like the Bengals have their top 4 OTs for next year already in the fold per my post above. But I suspect they might have had some interest in bringing Andre back after the draft depending upon how things shook out and if the price were low enough.
