This is the first time we’ve had a CUSA home game cancelled in at least 15 years according to past USM schedules on our athletic website that dates back to the 2004 season. Ironically the last time and only time we had a CUSA game cancelled since 2004 was during the 2015 season and it was at La Tech.

And now we have turf!

oddly enough we really haven't had too much trouble with the weather since we got it

no way our game today should have been cancelled.....our outfield drains just fine....

we could've played late fri. or started today's game at 7 or 8 a.m.....

there's a thread on our local board for those that are curious to see how much crap some of our locals gave me arguing how we screwed this pooch....

btw, kudos and 04-cheers to Tech completing the sweep.....you guys are going to be a heavy load to handle....

most series I'd rather just have one game on Friday and use Saturday as a DH and leave Sunday for everyone to rest

Me too.

It will be interesting to see how that 1/2 game for USM and UTSA will affect the standings at the end of the year. You absolutely know it will be the difference in someone making the tourney/ winning the conference etc the last weekend.

Exciting but strange weekend in Charlotte. We got 2 of 3 from FIU but didn't play well for the most part of the series. Lots of back and forth.

Got a walk-off swinging bunt on Friday. Down 4 in the bottom of the 9th FIU reliever comes in to close the game, but gives up 4 hits, 5 Wild Pitches, and a hits a batter. We returned the favor by giving up 5 in the 9th on Saturday in a 1 run game. Led the whole way Sunday but allowed a big lead to get cut down to a 8-6 win.

FIU is a very talented team, and I think they'll be making some noise once they get a little more experienced.

5 wild pitches? Holy crap. As a manager, you can't let that go on.

I'm not sure why they left him in there, but I was happy to see it.

Their manager had a quick trigger yesterday though. Down 2 in the 8th, man on 1st, guys pops 2 bunt attempts into the back stop trying to advance the runner. Manager yanks the kid for a pinch hitter with an 0-2 count.
