But NU lost to Providence 3-2 in OT at the TD Garden Friday night.

NU had a 2-1 lead with 1:51 left in regulation when they gave up a game tying goal and then lost it in OT.

Providence then lost to BU, a team NU blasted 3 times this’s year, to win the Hockey East title.

BU need to win the title to make it to the NCAA’s.

NU and Providence will get at-large bids to the NCAA’s
