College baseball is actually great in person. Prices are hard to beat and many schools have built very fan-friendly facilities.

Houston beats Memphis 2-0. Our Friday night pitcher (Cumbie) is a stud but damn, we still cannot hit. At least he won this one. Complete game 3 hitter (I think it was 3?)

You think college baseball is boring?

Try locking in on a 162 game regular season. Talk about a snoozefest.

If you're true to your school, you should be behind all of your teams. It really gets good once regionals start. Games get pretty intense, the atmospheres are usually top-notch, and it's pretty thrilling to be in do-or-die situations.

And when your team is good, it helps.

I support all of our teams, maybe it's just that were never good is why I never took interest, I'd rather watch our dance team. I legit have no idea how regionals or any of that works? I see it on TV but never watch. What is the process of making it to the college world series?

Conference tournaments, just like in basketball. Remaining bids go to at-larges to make a field of 64. There are 16 4-team double-elimination regionals played at the #1 seed school sites (mostly). 16 regional winners play in 8 super regionals (best-of-3 series) with the winners advancing to the College World Series in Omaha. Two four-team double-elimination brackets determine who plays for the National Championship which is a best-of-3 series.

Admittedly I don't know the first thing about college baseball. How to watch it? How to make the world series? Super duper regionals or something? Idk. But baseball is boring enough in the majors, I can't fathom watching amateurs play the sport.

I used to watch the Kinston Indians (Cleveland affiliate) 30 mins. from Greenville years ago. Saw some windshields broken on the way in occasionally. Thursday nights had 50 cent beer. Always a good time hanging out with friends, relaxing and talking. You don't really have to follow the game closely. Just look up and cheer when everybody else does. All baseball should have beer.

On the other hand, following college baseball can be stressful. Who wins and loses seems to matter a little more. College baseball really needs beer. If you watch it at home, be sure to invite friends over, and tell them to bring beer.

I guess that covers it. 04-cheers

Soooo why this over ECU/UCF?

Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

UCONN was picked to finish 2nd. USF was picked to finish 5th.

UCF was picked to finish 3rd. ECU was picked to finish 4th.

They choose these games before the season began.

***************************************************

EDIT: Also, the American Digital Network is only broadcasting 3 baseball games this year:

3/23: UCONN @ USF
3/29: Wichita @ ECU
5/4: UCF @ Houston

Don't be greedy.

I HIGHLY doubt they chose these before the season began as this wasn’t announced until today. Also if it’s a game of the week why are only three picked? Lastly you did not link a source which is an instant bullshite flag raiser.

You seem upset. Anything to do with the whoopin UCF put on ya last night?

As far as the schedule release is concerned, the American Digital Network did one for the Fall that came out in August. That's how I knew which soccer games I would be able to watch before the season began.

Also, I never said it was a "game of the week" scenario. All I said was that they chose 3 total games (and it happens to be 1 game for each of the preseason Top 6 teams).

Ya but the good news is it looks like my coogs are finally turning it around and starting to get the hang of things. I think the hitting will come in time and when it does we will he dangerous.

Tulane beat UC 5-3 in game 1 yesterday. Tulane got all of their runs in the first inning. UC left 11 on base - they can't get the big hit when they need it.

The conference Twitter says “Our first #AmericanBSB @American_DN game of the week” I looked after my post and they released the Spring schedule 3 days ago so they had the chance to change any plans knowing UCF and ECU was on a collision course.

The tweet should’ve said spring game of the week or something as softball takes over after first two weeks then championships and baseball finishes it out.

Most schools have live streams on their sites or through the streaming portal of their tv parter (ACC and SEC) for home games. MOST times these are free but most of the AAC schools and CUSA puts them behind a paywall. To my knowledge only ECU gives sways the streams for free in AAC.

Not awful, but the $7.99 is auto-renewed.

Uh, ok. Excuse me while I call my banker, lol...

Yeah. Just saying ECU fans might not want to accidently spend $96/year to watch UCF sports. Although if Pirate football doesn't improve...

After the weekend, email UCF and tell them to unsubscribe you and they'll do it. I did it last year.

Fans of the Shockers seemed uniformly down on the program and coach when the season began.

But they are having a terrific start ... but I don't see any/much optimism stated. Worried about jinxing? Or did I just do that jinx. 04-cheers

Regardless, congrats on what you've added to the baseball league.

They haven't done very well under this coach until this year so we will see how it continues. Yes they are off to a good start. I am hoping it continues. Otherwise, I would expect a new coach after this year.

Last year we started 11-0 and finished under .500 so we are waiting to see if this is real or not. The pitching appears to be improved but we still see enough of the same old things to be skeptical.

Thanks but we've got some fluff we've beaten up on and choked on our biggest test of the season against Mizzou.

Get back to us after next weekend when we open up at ECU.
