I will give Pera a mulligan year 1. And to be blunt, he needs it.
Having 80 per cent of your first recruiting class pack their bags and jump ship in less than a year is in no way an 'atta boy' there..... in fact far from it.
If he was more established this would be a *huge* cause for concern. Since he isnt, while giving him a pass for that 'freshman class pandemic death', it really taints the tableau for me.

Guess he really doesn’t care about his degree... I’m not sure there are many trashier athletic programs in the country than FSU.
Unfortunately I’m not sure there’s a solution to our basketball woes. I doubt Pera will get the time to turn it around even if he has the capability. We don’t have a fan base and kids hate playing in empty gyms. Family has to pay $10 a month or whatever to watch us because we aren’t on TV. You actually have to go to class and take exams which eliminated one of our 3 freshmen this year. Transferring is so easy if we do find a late bloomer they just leave as soon as possible. The only way I can see us fixing this is to develop a plan and throw a ton of $ at it. We’re so far behind that it’s going to take a huge effort to get us back into the picture.

That can't be right. A reasonable and well-thought out synopsis of the woes facing the basketball program? Isn't it just easier to single out 1 or 2 men's hoops coaches and try to brand them as intentionally trying to trash the program? You get +3 rep points from me for your response.
