I think he would be able to put us back in the tourney, and the top 25. But he is taking a while to make a choice and what if he chooses pitt and no other options are available after that. I think if he doesn't make a choice after this week we should start looking for another choice.

A week might be longer than I would say to decide. Give him to Thursday then start bringing in other candidates. Put the pressure on. I'm not sure UCONN and Pitt are comparable jobs IMO. UCONN is a step above, so if the money is comparable... it's a pretty easy choice.

UConn is a bigger name with a better fan base. But Pitt has more money and is in a better conference.

Better conference yet ... but hasn't really shown results .... It's been proven you can win at the highest level at UCONN ... Pitt? Not so much

Pitt was in the top 10 teams in the country by winning percentage under Dixon and was a top 4 seed for 8 out of 10 years in the tournament from 2002-2011. Dixon choked in the tournament but you can win at the highest level at Pitt. That said, UConn is one of the top programs in the country and in my opinion is the better job right now.

I have been impressed with the UMBC coach, Ryan Odom. Or, is he still too green for UCONN?

we have talent and

I think we could fight to be top 4in the conference next year. he could get us inthe top 25 in 3 years. It gonna be great to see Gampel packed again. but that all depends on the staff he brings in tho

I was impressed with the UNCG coach - Wes Miller. I am unsure, however, if he is a good fit for UConn because he is from NC.

Ollie isn't getting that. They'll settle at $4-5 Mil.

Ollie loves the school. If they make a legit reasonable offer he'll take it and qiuetly walk away. He'll be hurt, but he'll keep the situation under wraps. What you don't want is this blowing up as you try to hire the next coach driving out your top options.

@NBC10_Joe

If Dan Hurley does not hear what he wants from his meeting with URI today. Meaning if the are not willing to invest in the program, He will be heading to UConn. Per source

My friend, if that doesn't prove there is an unlawful monopoly ruling college athletics, then nothing will....
