Also fun to point out, you just won a coach battle with an ACC school who was offering more money than you.... that's not a small deal.

The stronger this conference is, the better. I was happy to see this this morning.

Congrats Huskies!
Very very happy for you guys. And like what was noted, great news for the conference as well.

Not a bad idea at all. He played at High Point and could probably connect with the local NC talent better than he did for the Tigers. Whoever lands the job does have a great rising sophomore guard to work with as well.

Fantastic news! Congrats, UConn. Good for all of us.

Now I won't have to worry about HuskyU crying in his beer and spilling it all over me. I hate the smell of skunky beer. 03-lmfao

What I like most about the Memphis/UCONN moves was that they announced what they were gonna do and did it fairly quickly. They didn’t get bogged down fighting over money. And they ended up getting their 1A choice. Let’s the coaches hit the ground running and hopefully have successful year 1s.

Compare that to Georgia and Pitt, or often the football going process in the league. These felt like winning moves

Yep. Congrats UCONN. Great hire.
I want ECU to hire NMSU coach and former Wichita St assistant Coach Janowski.

Congrats! Now ECU needs to find an up-and-comer from the low/mid-major ranks and Temple needs to can Dunphy.

This should definitely be an eye-opener for VCU. the aac has been a marginal upgrade over the a10 the past few seasons, not enough to get excited about. But it's pretty clear the directions these two conferences are heading. VCU needs to jump while they can and they are a perfect addition here

Congratulations, UCONN! You got a real winner in Hurley. He's Northeast through and through. I think UConn is a much better fit for Dan than Arizona State is for Bobby. Cannot wait to see you guys return to glory.

I’m no longer really interested in VCU. And they’re a better fit for the A-10. WSU made a lot of sense, but I’m not sure VCU does. We are at 12 in all sports now. It makes sense. I’m not sure VCU gets us any additional money.
