Why do the twins from Nevada have same haircut and beards? Doesnt it stop being cute for twins to dress and groom alike after they turn 10? 05-stirthepot

8, is that it? You'd think as much as they scored, it'd be way more.

actually I mistyped it. 8 different players hit 3's tonight for Michigan. they hit 14 overall. 14/24.

Hey, I have a chance to win my bracket pool this year. All I need is a Final Four of Loyola, Florida State, Syracuse, and Texas Tech, and I'm golden

My chances are probably somewhere next to slim and none, but hey. There's a chance.

Loyola is on a historical run right now. They have now won their three tournament games by four points.

And all with (essentially) game winning shots in the final 10 seconds by three different players.

I know they are getting compared a lot to that George Mason team in 2006 that made the Final Four as an 11 seed, but frankly I think Loyola is better than that team.

They don't always make the tournament but when they do, they prefer to cause damage. Stay a pest my friends.

Why do announcers keep referring to them as “Loyola Chicago”? I don’t see any other Loyola’s playing!

Because they haven't been relevant in decades and there's like 1,000 Loyolas, high school and college or otherwise.

The last time a Loyola did anything in basketball, there was a Marymount attached at the end and their run is still more memorable than this one and will remain so short of this Loyola winning it all.

I presume it's the naming convention from either the Loyola sports information department or the NCAA. The official name of the school is Loyola University Chicago (LUC).

It's been a long time since Loyola basketball was relevant, but when I hear "Loyola", I think of the one in Chicago. It's larger and much better known than Loyola in Baltimore or Loyola in New Orleans.

But not any more than the one in Los Angeles, Marymount.

For the record, I tend to think of the one in New Orleans the most and the one in Baltimore the least. My rankings:

1. LUNO
2. LMU
3. LUC
4. LUM

Fun fact: Before this year, every 11-seed that ever made it to the elite eight played a 1-seed in that round. Including the Loyola in Los Angeles.

so 11's are 3-4 in the elite 8. So Loyola would have a really good chance.

I had forgotten about Loyola Marymount. 01-lauramac2 It's that "Marymount" that sets it apart.

It's been 28 years since Hank Gathers and Bo Kimble. That's a lifetime's worth of recognition. That was a pretty memorable run.

When I hear "Loyola" by itself, I think of the one in Chicago. But, if they want to be "Loyola Chicago", more power to them.
