WKU wins 5-4 today in a game that featured lots and lots of LOB for both teams.

Rubber match tomorrow. Hey, you’ve gotta take 2/3 in a conference series before sweeping one, right??

Winning 2 in a 3 game series clinches a winning series but a sweep comes when you win all three. I may have gotten lost in your question. Is that what you were asking?

Final: USM 5 FAU 2. USM evens the series and deals FAU their first home loss of the year. Grudge match tomorrow.

Haha. I didn’t mean anything literally... Just that this team needs to take “baby steps.” And given that we were swept @LA Tech, I suppose 2/3 is a step in the right direction.

FAU almost tied it up on the last out of the game as the final out was caught on the warning track with 2 runners on. That’s twice in CUSA play that Wallner had the final out caught on the warning track as last weekend UTSA’s last out would’ve been a go ahead 2R HR but was almost a duplicate of today’s ending, just a few feet closer to centerfield

OOC games for BIG 10 this weekend
Purdue (115) host Lipscomb (236)
Maryland (106) host Stetson (42)
Ohio St (28) host Georgetown (289)

The Big 10 has gone 3-3 in these games through Saturday night’s games as each series has been 1-1. Hopefully the OOC teams can get 2 of 3 or sweep on Sunday. I know we won’t catch them but it would help close the gap.

USM gets another run in the 4th and scored 3 in the 5th to take a 9-1 lead with 1 out.

Headed to top 6 and USM up 9-1

I wish we'd stop wasting outs/runners on bad steal attempts.

Southern Miss just laying waste to 17-6 FAU in Boca on our way to win the series. Assuming this holds, it's a shame that one pitch will keep us from sweeping a really good regional team at their place.

USM 11
FAU 1
B8

Did you even watch the first game? Wilson tripled to open the B9, then you intentionally walked both Frank and Lambert to load the bases. There were zero outs. To insinuate the only reason you didn’t win that game was because of that wild pitch is completely dishonest on your part.

Pump the brakes mate. I'm talking about FAU's 3 run HR in the 7th on Friday night. THAT one pitch.
