I think battle is gone to the NBA. We just hear Matt Moyer is transferring.
The team played 4 freshmen and one redshirt freshman from a hobbled 7 man roster. Was really hoping to see Moyer develop. Kid would get so excited when he has a good game. It was great to see. And he represented himself and his family with class.

Is he leaving because he's dissatisfied with his playing time? If so, why does he think he won't get more PT next year? Is some stud coming in at his position?

Yes, we get a MCD's All American coming in as a power forward (#9 ranked Darius Bazeley). SU will be stacked at that position. He will probably end up at an A10 school or something.

The young man transferring out (Moyer) is a serious student too...he plays violin and is an only child with doting parents. He is at the Newhouse School enrollee...scuttlebutt he is on track to graduate in 3 years. It wouldn't surprise me to see him look at the Ivy League too.

No need to delete the thread. We still have a lot of new talent coming in although losing Bazley will sting. The 4 freshmen who got some serious playing time this season should all be back with a years experience under their belt. Plus there is the small forward/guard transfer from ECU who will be able to play for 3 years. Then finally, maybe Matt Moyer stays, now that he will get more playing time. The future is still bright, even if Battle goes to the draft.

Well, we certainly are no longer stacked at PF. Now that Bazley and Moyer are both gone. What a crazy turn of events. I would think Moyer is kicking himself now. I would take Moyer back if it were up to me.

Moyer still wouldn't get any PT even without Bazely. Brissett and Dolezaj will get all the minutes at PF.
