I was just agreeing that it sucked, not that it was the 2nd best anything. My number 1 is Dr Strangelove. My number 2 is Touch of Evil...so I do like some Orson Welles films.
Oh. My bad, I assumed you recognized it's awesomeness. Dr. Strangelove is good but wildly overrated. If you're going to go with a different Orson Welles film it's gotta be The Third Man.
I love the Third Man as well.
Dr. Strangelove, for me, is all about Peter Seller's performances. I enjoy them more every time I watch the film.
I accept that Citizen Kane is influential and way ahead of its time. I dont particularly enjoy the film, however.

Best thing about The Third Man is the soundtrack. That and the brilliant screenplay. And photography. And acting. And backdrop of Vienna in 1949.

its an amazing film, no doubt.
