Quote:So, how did this happen? CSU and UAB hired the same architecture firm, Populous, for their respective stadium projects and it appears that gave UAB access to the Rams’ digital renderings. Ted Feeley, UAB’s associate athletics director for communications, explained the rest.
“The UAB football account was not aware those renderings were CSU’s when it was provided by our graphics team,” Feeley said. “That is why it was a taken down. Purely a mistake.”
Sounds like another mountain out of a molehill. No harm, no foul. Time to move on. I think it's great that you guys are building a new stadium. Hopefully one of these days we'll be able to do the same, with football, basketball, or baseball...lol.

Looks like a case of the design firm trying to sell the same blueprints on two different jobs. Just kidding. I see UAB football Twitter has the real drawings up:
Looks nice. Hope to get to see it one day.

They want a similar design concept as CSU's stadium so this is an easy way to illustrate that. I promise that we will hire an independent design team and it will not look exactly like CSU's stadium but will have that look.
This is clearly why we won't play in the FBS playoff for football next season.
This is why you are UA's B
Overall, Troy University is ranked 1,218 out of 1,383. This means that about 88% of the colleges in our system rank as well or better than this college.

After reading through this entire group of posts I have the same thought that I had after reading the first post .... I don't see the big deal here and this just further shows how intolerant people are becoming over every little thing anymore.

I always wonder how you can rank a school outside of the Top 50 or Top 100 anyways. These rankings have no data to support this. They use research output and endowment to rank these schools. This doesn't say anything about teaching quality. It's totally ridiculous to rank schools outside the Top 100 or so. Most FB players only study Mass Comm, Marketing, Leadership or Sociology anyways.
Tim Cook went to Auburn (and later Duke) and is now the CEO of Apple. I once went to Troy, later earned a degree from a major research university, and now I build econometric models for a major global tech company. Rankings simply exist so colleges can charge you absurd amounts of fees... if you can manage to earn a degree from a 4-year college, study hard and put in a lot of extra work, you can make it to the top (and maybe with less debt). Most companies are so desperate for talent, they will give you a chance...
Btw, since you believe in rankings: Troy's J-school was ranked Top 10 in the nation in 2014 and our FB program is ranked higher than yours...
Congrats on your new stadium. Maybe we will play each other in a bowl game there.

Meanwhile at ODU we continue to play at an 80 year old stadium in desperate need of replacement.
Foreman will be renovated next off-season. And if you havent kept up, there's a possibility we get more than we originally thought in phase 1.
I have not kept up. ODU has been nothing but crickets for quite a while now. I'm hoping your right. I wish ODU would keep us informed as UAB appears to be doing.
