And now it'll show in attendance. Right?

Attendance is part of that Sleeping Giant thing. It could be monsterous. We have more students than we do seats. But the giant never seems to want to wake up.

That's what our school president and ex-AD keep telling us. But, it hasn't worked out as well for UTEP. We sucked in basketball and football. Finally, our old AD has left, thank goodness.

Good for UNT for improving in football and basketball.

But UNT has 30k plus students in the 4th largest metro area in US, huge local alumni base. Not more with less, less with more than other conference mates. Actually incredibly more than conference mates

Continuity would do UNT wonders. Keep Litrell somehow.

38,000 and some change. North Texas competes with 11 other FBS programs in the State of Texas for recruits, TV audiences and fans. And it ain’t easy when five of those athletic programs are P5. But I do think we have an Administrative Team and a Board of Regents now running UNT that “gets it”.

La Tech has one P5 to compete with. Tulane and La Mo are none factors. Worry about La Tech.

From the top of my head Texas has 11 FBS programs and Louisiana has 5. Texas is probably about 3 times bigger than Louisiana land wise and has at least 6 times more the population than Louisiana. That's definitely not "more with less" when you compare what Louisiana Tech and Southern Miss. have to work with in their states. Whoever used the "more with less" term when describing UNT made a mistake. Congrats on the success your teams had this season. I love visiting Apogge stadium, it's first class. But in no way has UNT been held down by being in the state of Texas.

No, not "Golden Age." How about a conference championship? No, bronze age at best.
