Eh...I know it’s a way of easing the pain, but I can’t buy the moral victory argument. Even I feel the pain, and I’m not a Houston fan. They had the game won!

OH..... and no truth to the report that she said Loyola’s second string could have won the MVC.

There's no reason they shouldn't have met tonight. Both choked and croaked.
Houston lost on a miracle 3 at the buzzer, the type of ending that defines the appeal of this tournament. Yes, hitting one of those late free throws would have helped, but Mich missed some also. And it sucks being on the losing side of that sort of ending.
Cincy lost by playing sustained stupid basketball. They kept their foot on the gas, played to Nevadas strength, instead of slowing it down and playing Bearcat basketball. There were almost 10 minutes where they should have figured this out.
Why the comparison? Because only one of these teams choked. The other one had a great opportunity but the opponent got the last shot.

Well my bracket is doing well so I'm happy. I have Michigan over nova in the final. Currently 99th% on ESPN.

Most times I would say the better team won but I'm with coach Sampson on this one and think the better team lost. We obviously would have won if not for our own mess ups and a miracle on Michigan's part. I'm happy/content going forward. Houston was the better team.

While Michigan missed some, UH was up by a possession and missed 3/4 in the final 25 seconds/4 secs. and still had the inbounds pass to defend. These aspects of simple execution are the difference between championship teams and losers.
Not that they had to win the title for this to go down as a successful season. It was as soon as they made the Dance but it could have much more...so much more. Even an OT loss would have been better than what ensued.

Let me guess, you picked LUC to the Elite 8 or Final Four?
I had the second chance bracket and still sucked. I picked Duke to win one and West Virginia for another that ultimately didn't count (but didn't matter, I still would have lost). The bracket I picked 'Nova in is my worst remaining bracket, the one I tried to use my head on. Had I not picked 'Nova to win it all, I'd have gotten one one other game right
The Michigan bracket I chose is only slightly better.

RE: Ouch. Still hurts. Michigan to Nat'l Championship Game
If Michigan wins this year's championship they're going to be the most luckiest and worst talented team to win it.
As for Houston this experience only provides coach Sampson significantly amo to sign future talented recruits.

RE: Ouch. Still hurts. Michigan to Nat'l Championship Game
the silver lining in all of this is that the expectation is now risen st houston...
before the tourney our staffs goal was just to get there. after we made it, they basically said we are playing with house money..
if we lost by 20 in the first round, it would have been a great season still t them, and said so in many interviews
they way we lost and the fact that the team we lost is in the national championship has lit the fire of expectation...Sampson has said houston was a better team than Michigan for all but 1 minute of the game..the assistant head coach retweeted a post how it should have been houston in the final 4 a few days ago..many houston players tweeting that it hurts and that its fueling them
and a coach tweeted yesterday in response to a "it should have been nova/houston "Sometimes you have to know what sour is to truly taste sweetness! Fired up"
the expectation has gone from "we just want to seen as a good team" "making the tournament was all the accomplishment we need" "next years team should be better, we'll see when they here, we hope to be back"
to now "we went to the round of 32 and fell short of what this team in capable off" "this team was good enough to make the final 4 and we fell short of that" "next years team should be better, best believe we are gunning for a national championship"
their is a fire lit in houston

Houston could have made a deep run. Michigan is about to get smoked by Villanova. I'm just glad Cal and Self are both done.

Sad to agree I think nova starts 30-4 and cruises to the nc.
