Michael Savage has referred to it as the "Government-Media Complex".
It reeks of an unlawful monopoly. In fact, I think it should all be busted up under RICO laws.
Completely agree. Only I see it as "Dark state Big Business."

Here is a longer version with more examples
FOX News is owned by Fox Entertainment Group.
ABC News is owned by Walt Disney
CBS is owned by CBS Corporation
NBC is owned by Comcast
Yet they are all reading the same script
'cept...you know...the Sinclair people were ACTUALLY READING A ******* SCRIPT!

And NBC, ABC, CBS and Fox are all willingly broadcasting that same script on their stations.
This has nothing to do with right vs left. Its across the board.

It may not be right vs. left, but one of these things is NOT like the other. They're not even close!

I do find it humorous that some seem to act shocked & outraged that Sinclair is doing it but never a word was said about the networks, BSDNC, CNN, and others doing the same thing for years.
Do as I say, not as I do?
Yeah. I've got no problem as long as they are expanding geographically. What has happened in radio is that companies are dominating local radio markets. They even time the commercials the same so that switching doesn't get you out of commercials.
Probably why Satellite radio and BYOMusic is so popular in cars.
RE: Sinclair Broadcasting scripts for all of their local News stations
Network news is almost all fluff anyway, hardly any real content. I don't miss it. This is still a little depressing though, hearing about what they're doing. They're going to turn TV into the Rush Limbaugh show, or whatever the equivalent is on the left. It'll be even more of a waste of time.

Not really. Rush doesn't take himself that seriously and he is entertaining. They take themselves seriously and are not entertaining at all.

Am I the only one who sees a difference here? There is a difference between a corporation sending down a dictate that all of its news casts will give the straight news, but providing a unified script of conformity about how to relay that to the public, and ACTUALLY SCRIPTING THE NEWS LIKE THIS:

Sinclair Broadcast Group, the largest owner of television stations in the U.S., employs a well-known practice of producing "must-runs," conservative commentary segments that each Sinclair-owned station is required to air.
But promos now running on Seattle's KOMO-TV show the next step in the company's plan to undermine non-Sinclair outlets.
The promos, which began airing on the station last week, are part of a Sinclair campaign that forces local anchors to read Sinclair-written scripts warning of the dangers of "one-sided news stories plaguing our country."
(Editor's note: KOMO News and SeattlePI have a content-sharing agreement.)
RELATED: Right-leaning Sinclair segments airing during Seattle newscasts
The KOMO segments feature several different pairs of anchors sticking word-for-word to a Sinclair script they were required to read.
"They're certainly not happy about it," a KOMO newsroom employee told SeattlePI. "It's certainly a forced thing."
SeattlePI obtained a copy of the script, which is posted below unedited and in its entirety:
"Hi, I'm(A) ____________, and I'm (B) _________________...
(B) Our greatest responsibility is to serve our Northwest communities. We are extremely proud of the quality, balanced journalism that KOMO News produces.
(A) But we're concerned about the troubling trend of irresponsible, one sided news stories plaguing our country. The sharing of biased and false news has become all too common on social media.
(B) More alarming, some media outlets publish these same fake stories... stories that just aren't true, without checking facts first.
(A) Unfortunately, some members of the media use their platforms to push their own personal bias and agenda to control 'exactly what people think'...This is extremely dangerous to a democracy.
(B) At KOMO it's our responsibility to pursue and report the truth. We understand Truth is neither politically 'left nor right.' Our commitment to factual reporting is the foundation of our credibility, now more than ever.
(A) But we are human and sometimes our reporting might fall short. If you believe our coverage is unfair please reach out to us by going to KOMOnews.com and clicking on CONTENT CONCERNS. We value your comments. We will respond back to you.
(B) We work very hard to seek the truth and strive to be fair, balanced and factual... We consider it our honor, our privilege to responsibly deliver the news every day.

RE: Sinclair Broadcasting scripts for all of their local News stations
They're trying to merge with Tribune to acquire more stations and could control about 70% of the news content across America...and could end up being used as pretty much state run television...yeah...nothing to worry about. Seriously!
