5-1 going to the second. WSU's approach was very good that inning, and I am still salty about the blind ump.

Consistency certainly hasn't been his strong suit.

The series was arguably even, I mean we blow them out, they blow us out and the in the rubber match its a 1 run game. Too many runners left on base.

Clear 5 bid league (USF/ECU/UCONN/Wichita/UCF). Very strong.

USF blowing smoke again. We faced better aces from Missouri State and Pepperdine.

This is kind of rinky-dink . . .

Quote:Umpire leaves to catch flight as Tulane tries to rally against Houston
http://www.nola.com/tulane/index.ssf/201...light.html

Quote:Not long after Jewett's ejection, the teams finished the game without Hensel on the field.

"He had a flight to catch," Jewett said.

Tulane and Houston played a doubleheader Sunday after stormy weather postponed a game from Saturday. The first game Sunday started at noon and the second game started about two hours after the original scheduled start time of 1 p.m., which bumped into Hensel's flight time.

Tulane offered to provide another night of lodging and a meal per diem that could have kept the three-man umpire crew intact for the full game.

Congrats to UConn for taking it to us this weekend. Absolutely dismembered our 1 and 2 guys. We were playing catch-up mode the entire doubleheader.

I see us settling in the midpack of the league, although Cincy seems to be coming along now.

Kudos to everyone making this an interesting race. It should be close down the stretch.
