Shhhhh!!!

At least a few car full of those folks are worse than 8th graders with bus seats. My folks experienced a bunch of judgmental glares when they parked a couple spots in from the tennis courts two years ago. They moved rather than deal with pre-teens.

C4 is a good lot and works well for use as often our schedules are pretty packed on Saturday's with kids activities so it is an easy in/easy out lot, with a flat/easy walk to the stadium and does not have reserved spots. It is all first come - first serve.

There is a small contingent though that does feel they own those first 10-20 spots along the train tracks.......so if you beat them there or take one of those spots they do get a little 'pissy' about it. But that is their problem if they wanted a reserved spot they should have gone to the hip a little deeper. Does not bother me in the least.

Lol @ people "reserving" giant swaths of spots, but not arriving early enough to actually park there.

Sorry bud. I'm parking here.

Exactly.....it is one thing to save a spot or two.......but to think you can reserve a bunch of prime spots, nope.

RE: FB Parking
Apparently assigning spaces in C4 was a suggestion at the reparking forum because of that reason. I think it's pretty clear that you don't get 5 spaces (especially prime end/corner spaces) when you select C4, you get one.

RE: FB Parking
I think it's fairly simple... if you want the prime spot - be there at 8am when the lot opens. 10-20 spots doesn't exactly sound like a "small contingent". I've seen the crew that parks at the corner of C4 near the tennis courts and it always appears to be one of the biggest groups on campus (other than the masses in Convo). It doesn't make much sense to me that those with 1-2 cars would want to park in the midst of that GameDay party anyways... just my two cents. You get what you pay for 04-cheers

I would just want to park closer to the stadium, hence that spot.

Yup. I'm sure a poster on here is one of those people whose "spots" those are, but if you cared that much to claim unreserved spots, you should probably be sure to show up at promptly 8am.

To be fair (since I kind of kicked off this bashing) majority of the group is definitely there right at 8am with maybe a spot or two left open for late arrivals (which, is still early comparatively).

In the case with my folks, it was Homecoming and my dad was running in the UREC 5k race. As such, he was actually allowed to park there before the lots technically opened. The family didn't start tailgating until 9am or so (after the race). Getting in early and then not 'tailgating' until 9 probably attributed to the glares but yea they still acted like 8th graders.

Touche`

Just b/c you have a big group.....does not make them more entitled to those 'unreserved spots' than a group of 1-3 vehicles that show up together. Those are prime spots no one 'owns' them.

Haha.

If it’s first come, park wherever you’d like, I’ll park wherever I’d like.

Blow me.

RE: FB Parking
Pretty quiet on reparking/reseating chatter.

Steady picks of deck and F lot so far this week... mostly for the club and chairback holders.
Starting to see G and P lot selections today, and the inside priority seats getting picked up.

Should be locking mine up this afternoon.

Staying in the same seats in 209 (same ones since the new BFS was completed) but did move out of G-lot for tailgating/parking. #HansonFieldRefugee

Section 108, moving one row back and will probably be rotating spots in G lot as the others pick tomorrow. Right now 85.

RE: FB Parking
Need to choose between D2 and Convo lot this year. Have parked in D2 before and did C4 last year. We generally don’t arrive until about an hour before game time, so not a lot of tailgating happening pre-game for us.

If you had to choose, which would you go with - D2 or Convo?

RE: FB Parking
Probably a coin flip. I'd say convo, because since it requires a donation now you won't have a bunch of oversold riff raff going wild in the lot, and it should be a better exit plan for traffic. Over at D2 this year, you'll have to also deal with the convo lot catch-all replacement lot, C10 (nearest Rose Library) exit traffic as well. Both have shuttle service, but Convo walk is marginally closer.
